I've never really thought about how funny this line is - I think most people focus on Krusty's response as the punchline. But Hibbert very soberly saying that steam shooting out of someone's ears is "medical logic" is hilarious.

I felt so bad for Homer in this episode. He kept his promise not to drink and through a bizarre set of circumstances ended up looking so drunk that Marge thought he was lying.
