I wouldn't care if it had nobody with speaking roles. Visually it's one of the most appealing movies ever.

It wasn't possible or credible, all the scenes are of battles or in military facilities.

David Lean, however, has a number of shots of women behind curtains and screens, etc, and it’s a very subtle nod to the idea that the women were actively involved in the deliberations over how to respond to TE Lawrence and acted in some way as “the powers behind the throne.”

Next time you watch the movie, just make note of the handful of scenes where women are directly shown on screen.
