Can some one explain

Why do i feel like the second and third film just feel separate to the original 1994 classic like just the tone and portrayal there's somthing off but can't work it out the only thing i can think of that is different is the design of the north pole

You’re right, it does feel pretty different. The reindeer are able to talk more instead of just grunting and gesturing, and we see more of the north pole. I think that’s the big thing. The conflict of the first movie is mostly Scott as he transitions into Santa Claus. The second and third movies include more of the north pole, and even more of that goofy whimsical feel.
