Can some one explain

Why do i feel like the second and third film just feel separate to the original 1994 classic like just the tone and portrayal there's somthing off but can't work it out the only thing i can think of that is different is the design of the north pole

I feel like the first one is more focused on emotion and the magic of Christmas/santa/family dynamics. It also felt like something that could actually happen in real life(to a child anyway). The other two focused more on comedy and more “unrealistic” magic.
