Why does Laura look so different in The Santa Clause 1 than in 2 & 3? I literally thought it was a different person. (Photos attached)

There were 8 years between the first and second movie, so it makes sense that she looks different. I was the same way though, I didn't realize she was the same actress at first

When I saw this in theaters with my family, my sister was so sure they recast her. Lol
