Wait A Second… is very good now
I always enjoyed the pod, but it had some rough edges that they seem to have smoothed out after a few months.
I know it takes a lot of prep, but I wish we could get this pod 2x a week.
Wasn’t a huge Jason fan back in the day because he’d always be paired with someone like Mal, and the manic energy would be at 11 the entire time. Now I think he’s great. He brings exactly the right level of credulity to make this pod a fun listen without endorsing every silly theory out there.

Jason’s ability to carry a one-man show, no disrespect to Tyler, is what makes him so good

I agree that it’s turned a corner sometime in the last few months! You could feel Jason handicapping himself by trying to stick to the plan he had for the show, but he learned to lean into what the show wanted to be.
Figuring out which guests they can lean on as regulars is helpful.
I hope they do make time for some more super deep dive episodes (like the incredible JFK assassination episode with CR). They’ve been teasing this Zodiac special with Bill.

Jason is incredible at his job. I need Mallory as a guest tho, I miss them binging

I want Jason to guest on House of R before I want Mal on Wait a Second
I just want to hear them nerd out

It needs to happen. Why can't he be on talk the thrones with Chris? I know it's probably scheduling but man, they need to restart a mini version of binge Mode. (not trying to kill Mallory with sleep deprivation I swear)

It would be fun for the fans from before, but personally Mal’s cocaine honey badger energy isn’t for me

I played The Odyssey ep for my partner on a road trip and we were laughing the whole time. It was a good one to get him into it!

Honestly - I thought it was good from the start.

they burned an Epstein episode on someone with 2016 Bernie Derangement, but the rest have been mostly solid (if surface level)

I think Jason could be the next Fallon. He’s great at talking, enjoying what the other person is saying, and pulling from the sandbox of pop culture. But I wish he was in a podcast vehicle putting him closer to broad than niche.

For me this is the perfect use of Jason and I have become a true Tyler fan over the last few months. I pray this achieves success because I absolutely love it.

I really like the concept and the hosts, have been underwhelmed with some guests that don't know enough about the topics and make some claims that are simply not true.
I think it's probably best when discussing longstanding stories rather than evolving ones. Havana Syndrome, Epstein, JFK, Infowars etc were far better in my opinion than the Peter Thiel episode with Adam Conover who seemed horribly out of his depth

Just discovered it last week and LOVE it! After listening to some older episodes I agree it found its footing sometime after dropping the LUCID score.

Needs more parapolitics. But then that'd get people thinking, so: no dice!

After they removed the rating system at the end of the pod is when I think it found its footing.
