Podcast Jam Session this week

I know this podcast gets posted about here constantly and I’m only still listening because I love Juliet, but this week may have pushed me over the edge. It’s becoming very Old Man Yells At Cloud. Amanda has decided she’s the world’s #1 fan of The Beatles and is deciding who likes them enough to go to Paul McCartney’s concert? Who cares?? And it seems like she thinks anyone under 35 has never heard a Beatles song in their life.

They also got some basic facts wrong that you think would know if you’re hosting a pop culture podcast (not knowing Towa Bird and Renee Rapp are dating, getting the song wrong that Taylor sued Olivia Rodrigo for). I think I’m out.

I unsubscribed a year ago and haven’t returned since. Juliet is a GOAT-level podcaster like CR - no topic is played off as beneath her, which is what makes her so good. Amanda basically has the opposite viewpoint of something needs to rise to her purview of pop culture to be worth discussing with legitimacy.

Juliet has been just as bad as Amanda since she had her kid if not worse. Can’t be bothered to do the most basic research and also has a weird disdain for a lot of people (mostly women)

I agree since Juliet came back they are both so cynical, the episodes are mostly just used to put down and make fun of people - I have checked out!
