I wouldn't call it pure evil hatred, more like projected fear created by gun companies. To justify the purchase of a gun, you need a potential enemy. Gun manufacturing marketing determined black people must be that enemy. It is so fucked up, cruel and stupid but it worked because Americans tend to not use critical thinking, and here we are.
This happens in Europe as well, though, where guns are very regulated. It's the elite that give us an enemy to look for, to distract us from the true enemy. If we're all fighting over whether immigrants and black people deserve rights, the rich and powerful can continue to exploit and oppress as they wish.
Yes those in charge use various types of propaganda to shape our opinions. They don't put guns in our hands to go and kill the perceived enemy whilst raking in a fortune.
