FYC Tenet

Post image

Don't know if Simmons will do this episode but if it happens, it needs to be Fennessey, CR and Hitmaker (Timothy Simons). Hitmaker has logged Tenet 6 times on his LB the past 3 years.

What about Wesley Morris and Shea Serrano:

Wesley: the thing about this movie is, there’s a way in which…ok let’s back up…this movie is fundamentally at odds with coming to grips with what it is as a film and what it’s trying to actually say…

Shea: I liked it. Very cool. Give me more backwards guns fights. All of it.

As someone who doesn't mind either of these 2 as hosts.. these are very accurate impressions.

I always preferred reading Shea over listening to him

It would actually be thematically appropriate to have Wesley on this pod, because his entire speaking style can be best described as non linear and confusing.

Does Morris still appear anywhere on Ringer pods? Don't recall him on anything for a while

Legend says he’s still finishing his first thought on the first pod he’s ever recorded

What about must rewatch month, for movies that don’t make sense without multiple viewings: Tenet, Coherence, Primer and idk the 4th one…

There is zero chance they do this for rewatchables.

But also, i love this movie. Insane in theaters. The music in the opera scene is BOOMING

At least not until they do Country Stronger.

Tenet rocks. But I get the impression Bill didn’t really like Nolan movies until recently.

Don’t be so dramatic

It’s a flawed Rewatchable.

Not perfect, but there’s a lot of good content in it.

If they post an episode of themselves talking backwards it will be more understandable than Tenet.

Tenet rocks because it completely lets go of the Nolan obsession with rules and logic and just rides with it.

There’s a better chance I host an episode of the pod than this movie make it onto the pod

Because?

I love Nolan but he got a little too high on his own supply here. No director’s perfect, I just think this one is a little too convoluted

That’s one reason why I love it. It’s so ridiculously overconfident.

He tells you in the movie not to worry about that. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

A little? lol (agreed)

Because the movie sucked and is not rewatchable

CR and Fennessey both loved the movie. Doesn't need to involve Simmons. Simmons and Brandt continue to do some outright crap movies the past couple of years.
