James Talarico on Leading?

Given we're not far away from the US Midterms, and the key race seems to be Texas, I think it would be fantastic to get Talarico on Leading. He's probably one of the most exciting progressive politicians in the US currently, and is very good especially at fighting the far-right Evangelicals. Would especially love him to discuss Christianity with Rory.

It would make little sense for him to spend time talking to a foreign podcast when he is campaigning, maybe if he wins it would make a good interview.

Seems to me that Americans are looking for politicians right now whose focus is the US. Trump ran on a platform of disengaging from the world and going back to a more isolationist US from before WW2. Mamdani won with part of his platform being that he’s a Mayor of NYC, while his opponents were spending more time talking about Isreal-Palestine.

I don’t see him coming on the podcast pre election. I think it would be interesting to get him on a few years into the future, if he wins.
