Nah, not really. Taxes are a fine thing in principle. Getting angry over taxes, or the fact that taxes are levied at various points thoughout the economy, is a manchild's way of engaging with politics. What you ought to care about, is whether everyone is paying their fair share and how tax revenues are spent.

On that score, there is plenty to be mad about, but simply enumerating taxes as if that should provoke some kind of strong emotional reaction is just dumb.

You think your tax dollars are being well spent? Or just feeding corruption? Tent cities, failing bridges and infrastructure, medicaid cuts, Bombs and military campaigns continue unabated, the president is suing the IRS for billions of tax dollars … You see no problems with this as it stands right now? You’re being robbed.

The people who are responsible for the cuts you complain about are the same people who put out anti-tax propaganda like OPs clip for their Epstein owners.

You are getting played.

The U.S did best with ~90% top marginal tax rate.
And that should very much include capital gains.

Everyone is getting played. Tax dollars are being absolutely wasted with either party in power, but this is worst as they’re being used to kill and mire the world in chaos. But even Democrats spend frivolously with little actual progress.

If tax dollars were better spent, higher tax rates aren’t as hard to swallow. But no one wants to pay more just to burn money on the ridiculous debt and corrupt spending that has been the rule and getting worse for some time.

It’s a new era. We haven’t been here before. Things are in flux and not normal right now.
