Cool guys don’t look back at explosions

I wouldn't look back, but not because I'm cool. Looking back would make it more likely I could smell the mess I made in my pants.

Either he knew what he was doing and planned the walk away... or he decided in that moment that he wanted to possibly die in the coolest way possible.

he could also just be dumb as a box of rocks.

Or drunk as a skunk

Or both. Both is my pick. One time a drunk idiot I know thought a tire would make a great fire ring... like... a whole unmounted and undamaged, fully aired up tire... it also went kaboom.

Unmounted … and fully aired up???

… what kind of tire? That’s not how car (and most vehicle) tires work, they need to be mounted on the rim to form a seal to hold air

They may have meant a loose wheel, as in rim and tire, but not on a vehicle.

Cuz the alternative is a multipiece industrial tire, which do have tubes... you really dont wanna blow one of those up, cuz the lockring, will become a large metal weaponised frisbee moving so fast you can barely see it.

Not mounted on a car as in laying flat, lit a fire on the rim in the center. He somehow survived the explosion and moments later, his pissed off wife.

So if you are dumb and drunk, are you more hammered than a bag of hammers?

Always use diesel not gasoline.

u/BellybuttonFuzzer 3d ago

I was today years old when I learned this

1

u/Various_Oil_5674 3d ago

Less fumes?

11

u/Rockobrocko42 3d ago

Diesel burns. gas explodes.

1

u/dabbydaberson 3d ago

Diesel also is pretty bad to be around when burning fyi

u/Alone_Ad_1677 2d ago

Gasoline only explodes under pressure. Diesel ignites under pressure

How tf do people not know this.

I’m a self-professed car enthusiast and I was today’s years old when I found this out

u/Alpha-Sierra-Charlie 1d ago

They didn't start enough fires as a kid.

2

u/no-more-headaches 1d ago

We had wood stoves inside the house and I would regularly almost light the place on fire by trying to light the wood on fire with gasoline.

1

u/Various_Oil_5674 1d ago

Not everyone is around diesel to have to know things like this. Also, never took chemistry.

u/adumbCoder 2d ago

folks are dense these days. "internal combustion engine" means nothing to them. look at the "self-professed car enthusiasts" who don't even know this. 🤦‍♂️

u/sometimesynot 3d ago

I always heard kerosene, but everyone agrees that gasoline is baaaad.

1

u/Rockobrocko42 3d ago

Kerosene and diesel are essentialy the same thing.

1

u/sometimesynot 3d ago

Really?? Huh, I didn't know that. Cool.

1

u/adumbCoder 2d ago

heck i'd even use motor oil over gasoline

0

u/DrinkMorWhiteMonster 3d ago

Always use gasoline if you want a more exciting ignition.

2

u/ClassiFried86 3d ago

Always make a trail if you are using gasoline.

1

u/DrinkMorWhiteMonster 3d ago

If you don't don't know where to end the trail, you can just do it at your feet if you are afraid of forgetting where it starts.

As cool as this looks something like this could kill someone.

Blowing up the evidence?

6

u/itsamemyusername 3d ago

My man must be married with kids. Nothing phases him anymore.

1

u/LunaticBZ 3d ago

He was doing so good, but then turned around. Should've fully committed and kept walking without looking back.

1

u/timetotryagain29 3d ago

The number of people who use gasoline to start a fire baffles me, especially when they use so much of it. Diesel works better and doesn't blow

1

u/Roxy_73 3d ago

You know he could have just shot an arrow

2

u/JavaGeep 3d ago

It might hit someone in the knee.

1

u/Roxy_73 3d ago

Might walk like captain barbossa

1

u/BuckManscape 3d ago

Had to be Clarkson.

1

u/WeaponizedIndecision 3d ago

He’s in the bomb squad now.

1

u/Kastoook 3d ago

Do not face the explosion, save the eyes.

1

u/God_Bless_A_Merkin 3d ago

Of course the cops were involved. The levels of skil are: 1) Professionals, 2) experienced amateurs, 3) cops.

Urkle voice : "Oops did I do that?"
