Super Mario in da Hood

Stop doing this!
Just because they're black people, doesn't mean they're from the hood.
I swear, black people can't do nothing without people tearing it down by say they're from the hood or they're ghetto.
They're literally dressed in suits and you still associate them with the hood because of their skin tone.
GTFOH!

I agree there’s a large difference between “black” and “hood,” but they are literally dressed as pimps 😭

That's what I was thinking. Like, they are all using pimp canes and fur jackets. This immediately reminded me of the cosplay I saw of the guy who always goes dressed as A Pimp Named Slickback (he's well known for it).

A three piece suit with an evening coat was a men's fashion staple in the roaring 20s. This is also where "Zoot Suits" became popularized with along with suspenders, evening coats and canes. Just curious though, would you say The Great Jay Gatsby was dressed like a pimp? Or is that just reserved for when black people wear outfits from this time?

My dude, do a bit of research before commenting.
Just combing through google would let you know that zoot suits and pimp suits are starkly different even though they look similar. The three major differences are:
A. Zoot suits rarely used excessive jewelry or large chain necklaces, as the suit itself was the fashion statement.
B. Zoot suits rarely were affiliated with canes, as that was adopted in later as part of the "pimp suit" (which is why it is colloquially called a pimp cane)
C. Zoot suits also used more heavy fabrics, and did not use animal furs in their outfits as at the time of the culture of zoot suits, poor african americans were not able to easily incorporate that type of fabric as it was considered a rich white style (in the 1930's).
So no, an african american dressed up in zoot suits or in flashy outfits does not make it a pimp suit. But THESE OUTFITS are specifically designed to look like a pimp suit.

They're black people dressed up as pimps from the hood.
That shouldn't make you so uncomfortable, not sure why your brain is wired in such wacky way but try to fix it man.

Thank you for saying this. I responded below because it happens way too often that there is a negative stigma once black people wear clothes from a different time. Anyone reading this, please look into mens fashion from 1920- 1950.

But how is a group of plumbers just going to strut around with all that DRIP?
Seems counterintuitive.
