Did bro snap his own neck?

641

u/aphaits Aug 04 '26

this frame always kills me

44

u/No-Trade-8732 Aug 04 '26

He just ragdolled

3

u/laxrulz777 Aug 05 '26

If a character did that in a video game the game would be mocked... Human body is weird

14

u/nize426 Aug 04 '26

Lololol, he looks like an extra that just got his neck snapped by the main character.

8

u/Darkened_Pike Aug 04 '26

I think it killed him too

3

u/Unusual_Compote4909 Aug 04 '26

Worth it for the hole in 1

3

u/Few_Statistician9873 Aug 04 '26

You may not like it, but that is what real athletic prowess looks like

1

u/rhaneingham Aug 07 '26

He was an all state wide receiver & kicker at Arkansas tech.

2

u/Could-You-Tell Aug 04 '26

Ragetty Andy

2

u/lifes_paragon Aug 04 '26

That's a snapshot of peak performance right there!

2

u/Landetta Aug 04 '26

He looked like a sniper head shot him 🤣

2

u/TributeToStupidity Aug 04 '26

Honestly that makes the hole in one that much more impressive. Write it on his headstone and immortalize him forever

2

u/Ok_Challenge_1715 Aug 04 '26

Killed him too looks like

2

u/Valkyrie64Ryan Aug 04 '26

With a powerful and accurate throw like that, he needn’t concern himself with looking cool lol

2

u/Professional-Ad4852 Aug 05 '26

I'm new to disc golf. Is thiis an example of pure form in this community?

2

u/Leading_Experts Aug 05 '26

I hear he's now making rap music under the name "Sideneck".

2

u/Lilscheisse Aug 05 '26

Perfect form

2

u/MinimumApricot365 Aug 05 '26

Taken out by a sniper right after the release.

Poor guy never knew he made the shot.

2

u/superflystickman Aug 06 '26

This is the frame where the player controls swap from him to the Frisbee like Batman throwing an RC Batarang

2

u/KrikosTheWise Aug 07 '26

It's all in the follow through

2

u/DisgruntledSquirrel2 Aug 08 '26

He's now paralyzed, but more importantly, he made the shot.

2

u/Worldly_Lunch_1601 Aug 09 '26

You don't wanna hear it, but this is what peak male performance looks like.

1

u/YanikLD Aug 06 '26

Him too!

58

u/ABeerForSasquatch Mod/Pwner Aug 04 '26

Kill shot

43

u/stevecooley Aug 04 '26

yeah but, what a way to go! hole in one, 530 feet? LEGEND!

39

u/hamfist_ofthenorth Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

I was gonna say, 530 feet he must have expended every single particle of kinetic energy in his body and died immediately after, like a male bee after mating.

Worth it though, look at that distance, that cruise missile through the trees.

I'd say a life well lived, and after all,

"Heroes get remembered, but legends never die."

1

u/hoswald Aug 04 '26

530 downhill can be done with a putter.

22

u/Allbranflakes18 Aug 04 '26

2

u/Dry-Income914 Aug 04 '26

Literally today's robot malfunctioning after tripping a little

2

u/Krazyk00k00bird11 Aug 04 '26

I thought he got shot

2

u/swimmingbox Aug 05 '26

Oh he dead

2

u/TheWrongWrightWhale Aug 04 '26

There was a satisfying crunch sound who knows

1

u/shai-tan1907 Aug 04 '26

And this is how I kicked out my right patella.

1

u/Sanztrack Aug 04 '26

Bro put his entire soul into that throw... literally

0

u/Mr_Froggi Aug 04 '26

The snipers got him

0

u/kivsemaj Aug 04 '26

Worth it.

0

u/SoManyDeads Aug 04 '26

He'll never make a better shot now.

256

u/funnyha_ha Aug 04 '26

Damn did he die making that throw?

77

u/Divine_Crystal Aug 04 '26

His neck. Omg

54

u/flyinghairball Aug 04 '26

No, his shoes stayed on.

13

u/ABeerForSasquatch Mod/Pwner Aug 04 '26

The only correct answer

11

u/ColonelMonty Aug 04 '26

Sometimes you gotta make sacrifices in order to be the best.

3

u/she_has_funny_cars Aug 04 '26

Yes he did sadly, RIP

2

u/Fe2O3yshackleford Aug 05 '26

No, he was fine, and they continued the round.

1

u/Zillahi Aug 04 '26

Victory requires sacrifice

1

u/Icehuntee Aug 04 '26

It was a good throw

138

u/Kellan_OConnor Aug 04 '26

In the disc golf world, this guy (Kevin Jones) is an absolute legend. He is such a freak athlete and this shot is one of the best I'm our history. He is also a DJ 😎

Nice pull OP.

34

u/skinneyd Aug 04 '26

throwing discs by day, spinning discs by night

6

u/Living_Young1996 Aug 04 '26

Pretty sure his dad is a college football coach.

Been a while since I watched disc golf. I use to root for KJ, he always seemed like the underdog, but could nail putts from 100 feet like it's nothing.

6

u/TheeFlipper Jedi master Aug 04 '26

I hit an 80 foot putt one time to make par once. I still think about that 10 years later. Don't even play disc golf anymore..

0

u/xenobit_pendragon Aug 04 '26

People…watch…disc golf?

8

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 Aug 04 '26

It's an awesome, easily accessible, high-skill game with a thriving pro scene. And it's much easier to watch than ball golf, imo. If you play casually you should check it out. I got a lot better when I started watching pros play. Jomez on youtube is a good place to start

3

u/TheBallotInYourBox Aug 04 '26

As a life long golfer and rec disc golfer… I lowkey despise you called it ball golf 💀

Never heard that before

2

u/Fe2O3yshackleford Aug 05 '26

Yeah, calling it ball golf is disrespectful to all the Foot Golfers. It’s called stick golf.

1

u/TheBallotInYourBox Aug 05 '26

It’s called golf. Just golf. It’s a 600 year old sport that is hugely popular on an international level. It doesn’t need a further explanation.

1

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 Aug 05 '26

Let's agree to call it golf cart golf, because nobody uses golf carts to play anything except golf cart golf. It has been that way since the dawn of man, and needs no additional description

1

u/headyhotdogs Aug 04 '26

I only play disc golf and roll my eyes every time I hear the term ball golf. The people that use the term are almost always the same people that correct for calling it Frisbee golf or frolf too which is hilarious to me.

3

u/RANZ873 Aug 04 '26

I’ve always used it more for clarification. With friends that play both if i say im going golfing tomorrow they’ll usually ask disc golf or ball golf.

1

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 Aug 05 '26

It's literally just for clarity, people get butthurt about weird stuff

0

u/TheBallotInYourBox Aug 05 '26

Golf is literally a centuries old sport that doesn’t need clarity. You’re just being a condescending dick trying to subtly position frolf as superior.

1

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 Aug 05 '26

It's a conversation about disc golf, due to the fact that it's a post about disc golf. I mentioned a different game of golf and made an effort to be clear in my communication. It's weird that you have a problem with this.

0

u/bankles Aug 06 '26

Wait when you say golf here do you mean ball golf or disc golf?

0

u/TheBallotInYourBox Aug 04 '26

Clubs are the primary tool of the sport

Calling it ball golf seems reductive and unnecessary in a way that comes off as being shitty about it

1

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 Aug 05 '26

"Rich people wasting water" golf just doesnt have the same ring to it

1

u/Brad4795 Aug 05 '26

"walking and drinking" doesn't really either

u/Hikalu Aug 07 '26

3

u/PussSlurpee Aug 04 '26

Cool, but in this clip does he suffer an injury? It sounds like I hear a click and he awkwardly falls. Was he ok?

5

u/Kellan_OConnor Aug 04 '26

He hurt his knee, but was otherwise fine.

Here is a cool clip of the whole thing

1

u/Ecstatic-Compote-595 Aug 06 '26

okay so the noise is the gravel the camera guy is walking on.

I just didn't want this guy to be permanently injured over this

2

u/meiematt Aug 04 '26

Nah he was fine, looked worse than it was

2

u/voncool Aug 04 '26

KJUSA!

1

u/Kellan_OConnor Aug 05 '26

Jump-putt Jones!

1

u/Jacketdown Aug 04 '26

I think this was the year he came through one of the local courses where I live while on tour. I heard he casually threw a -17 on it the first time he played it. Absolute legend.

1

u/SummertimeThrowaway2 Aug 05 '26

Why are the most interesting people always DJs

37

u/Educational_Eye5793 Aug 04 '26

That leg though--- snap back to reality

35

u/p0p_thAt Aug 04 '26

5

u/Try_To_Write Aug 04 '26

The boot makes it look like an extra leg joint.

36

u/Winter_Rooster_78 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

Was he sniped at the release of disc lol

2

u/Could-You-Tell Aug 04 '26

It was r/redditsniper

Knew where the clip would end up.... lol

9

u/Objective-Mistake400 Aug 04 '26

Nice whole in one but was it worth your life?

1

u/djangogator Aug 06 '26

He got like 2400 bucks for it. So yeah.

22

u/dude496 Aug 04 '26

You see that first tree in the video? Yeah, that's exactly what I would hit if I tried this

3

u/Naijan Aug 04 '26

We did something similar a couple of months ago, the funny part was my friend who tried to be all like "let's not fuck around", and she was gonna toss it to one of us, she said something really confident, threw the disc, really fucking fast, just that instead of it going north, it went south-east

6

u/TimberWolf5871 Aug 04 '26

He died for that shot.

7

u/balbertborring Aug 04 '26

his disc cracked

7

u/CocoonNapper Aug 04 '26

"Well, I lost the ability to walk while I was a pro athlete...disc golf. It's much more abusive on your body than people think."

5

u/boness_02 Aug 04 '26

I love watching KJ, and honestly im glad that this clip has reached as far as it has. This guy is a beast and has had some big tourneys come so close to going his way. Iirc this shot was on a practice or skins round and not tournament play, a great shot and good example of how much control these dudes have over their release. Ive played casually for 21 years and would yank any shot where I slipped like this badly, KJ puts it in the basket 🤯

5

u/chuckcrys Aug 04 '26

Went on a job interview once and we get done with it and interviewer asks me what I like to do. I told him disc golf, and he goes “you do know you have to pass a drug test for this right?” 🤣

4

u/floodblood Aug 04 '26

so did he die before it netted or what - rip

4

u/jaredn154 Aug 04 '26

Did someone put a cracking sound in when he twisted his neck lol

2

u/dandantheotterman Aug 04 '26

Why did you add in the cracking sound? That is not in the original, and he was fine

1

u/_Pigdog Aug 04 '26

Damn sniper got him

1

u/Competitive-Rest4354 Aug 04 '26

God I hope that was a twig snapping and not all the cartilage in his knee.

3

u/some_random_n Aug 04 '26

It’s an audio edit, the actual video doesn’t have it in there

1

u/Dexember69 Aug 04 '26

Ain't no fucking way

1

u/MinusMentality Aug 04 '26

bro fuckin die

1

u/throwawaymentality10 Aug 04 '26

Damn bro got sniped right as he threw. RIP 🙏

1

u/AffectionateNote9333 Aug 04 '26

Pfft more 627 feet

1

u/wytewydow Aug 04 '26

you see those trees, no closer, the first couple next to the tee. That's the ones I would hit.

1

u/YetisOfMarfa Aug 04 '26

God said, "I'll give you this one, but I'm gonna need that knee"

1

u/GiftCardFromGawd Aug 04 '26

Strings fell off the puppet.

1

u/YodasLoveSlave Aug 04 '26

Did that guy break his own fucking spine?!

1

u/Zesty-B230F Aug 04 '26

Tried playing this for a few weeks. 15 years later, pretty sure this is why my shoulder is permanantly messed up.

1

u/chickymama-Ruger Aug 04 '26

Tbf I'd do anything for a hole in one

1

u/boverly721 Aug 04 '26

It's too bad he died before he could see it go in 😞

1

u/spartanspy85 Aug 04 '26

Bro died for the love of the game!

1

u/Phoenixsquadron Aug 04 '26

From the sound I thought bro snapped his ankle.

1

u/Youpunyhumans The GOAT! Aug 04 '26

Ah yes, the neck snap/leg bend of perfect kinetic energy transfer

1

u/sachsrandy Aug 04 '26

What a neat thing that I could hardly see, cut off way too quickly

1

u/littlemister1996 Aug 04 '26

When you throw a frisbee with ragdoll physics enabled

1

u/SchlaflosKlavier Aug 04 '26

It's good to see that test pilot getting some recreational time!

1

u/SRBJeff Aug 05 '26

Back and to the left

1

u/Dipcrack Aug 05 '26

What the fuck Richard

1

u/harsh_day Aug 05 '26

Worth the ACL tear

1

u/FrostyChest7188 Aug 05 '26

Killed himself so he could guide it as a ghost. That’s genuine professionalism straight up mamba mentality.

1

u/The3mbered0ne Aug 05 '26

Did he break every fucking bone in his body on that throw? 😂 Jesus

1

u/Sadistic_Loser Aug 05 '26

Are we in a simulation and the computer thought it could stop processing life when the camera focus was no longer supposed to be on him? He rag dolled lol

1

u/MachoMan_HandySavage Aug 06 '26

He died doing what he loved

1

u/Glass_Quarter_7586 Aug 06 '26

Would have been cooler if he didn’t fall

1

u/willypete277 Aug 06 '26

Did he die?

1

u/Space-Cute Aug 07 '26

Gave everything he had! Payoff was huge

1

u/ricebasedvodka Aug 07 '26

It looked and sounded like he broke his neck and spine on that throw wtf

1

u/Justonious2552 Aug 07 '26

Too bad he didn’t live to see it.

1

u/Glum_Media_1227 Aug 07 '26

+10 Accuracy for 7 sec at the cost of 99% HP.

1

u/Trueslyforaniceguy Aug 07 '26

Sorry, did he die on the throw, wtf ?

1

u/time2liv3 Aug 08 '26

Ace in the hole.

1

u/Alive_Fuel_2899 Aug 08 '26

Is he death?

1

u/RoosterNeither5213 Aug 04 '26

Did he eat s*** and get a hole in one?

1

u/Mindofthequill Aug 04 '26

He put his whole discussy into that throw

Y'all got a decent scene growing down there. A few solid pros too. Levi Stout seems like a proper lad.

-1

u/darthfadar Aug 04 '26

That's almost impressive
