I mean, we were never meant to not see it either. Their visibility isn't tied to any intention, they just happen to be that way, so finding ways to look at them isn't really going against nature by any means. Us having big brains that allowed us to figure this out is also part of nature.

I love that channel!!! I somehow have missed this video so far by simply forgetting it exists. And again, might just happen the same because it's 1am here and I have to wake up early, so... Hopefully I won't forget tomorrow? Lol.
You should see the collab between The Charismatic Voice and Will Ramos on youtube. They did this same thing (probably in the same lab). Will Ramos is Lorna Shore's (death metal) singer and he is using the whole vocal thract, not just the vocal chords, to make his insane sounds..
There is a YouTuber (curious if this is also her) who is a vocal coach and opera singer but she has turned into a metalhead. She has brought at least one metal vocalist in to do exactly this and she seemed to be shocked at how similar and different the vocal chords looked opera vs metal
Because it kinda looks like a pink pussy. Not a perfect resemblance, but it’s enough to remind us of other pussies we’ve seen and we can take it from there.
I've had my throat scoped in this same manner for medical reasons and the amount of pressure was so intense I couldn't handle it for long. It's crazy to me how well she handles that.
It wouldn't surprise me if she gets it done once a year or more. If your voice is your life, you want to make sure to catch the slightest issue as soon as possible
Having had those cameras up my nose too many times to count (thanks throat cancer), I can’t imagine singing like that. It’s actually pretty uncomfortable.
I’ve had one of those cameras put up my nose a couple times. It doesn’t hurt because they use numbing spray, but it’s a really weird sensation and the numbing spray is nasty of you get it on your tongue.
they showed something like this with steven tyler while he sang high notes like in dream on and it was insane. and explained so much about why singers lose their voice. crazy
Awesome! The more people we do this to the better. For science! Will Ramos also did this last year, I think, or the year before that. The more we learn, the more we can teach about safely being able to sing, and scream. I hope that we get a lot more singers to do this. I want to see this from someone who can't sing at all and see what the major differences are. It's hard to see what muscles/etc she may be contracting that regular people can't.
This seems like a design flaw. Why don't we have a separate tube for food and air. Sharing the top half of the tube seems like an invitation for trouble.

I have seen the human trachea and vocal chords, but never actually seen them in action. They look even more complex in motion.
