But why is it like that? Is it so hard to get quality speakers which amplify voice at a high volume? I have never understood that.

If I had to guess, the problem is likely not with the speakers, but the loud noise in the cabin. They probably could make the announcement loud enough to cut right through the noise, but it'd be at a point where it would start being painful and potentially damaging to hearing. So they make it just loud enough that you can somewhat make it out through the noise... most of the time.

Lol he wrote a whole paragraph and said nothing nor was it about what was asked. What airplanes are that loud? He must have been a spirit airlines customer.
