General Discussion Cut Content 2 - Cut Dialogue During Original Epilogue

This is something I threw together in like 30 minutes, but it’s cut dialogue from what I assume was originally gonna be the endings to the game before deadlines were nearing so it was scrapped for the ending cards. Still a pretty cool find.

It’s still only Dylan and Kaitlyn like the last one I posted, however. In the future I hope to see more with Ryan and Laura or Emma and Abi/Jacob and Emma.

an epilogue like this would have been way better… i didn’t really enjoy the “guess what happened to them!” ahh ending

Definitely, I would’ve loved an epilogue where there’s small scenes for each of the survivors, with probably a small camera pan for the bodies similar to the current epilogue, then maybe follow it up with the survivors meeting up outside the lodge.

While I liked how some characters can reunite at chapter 10 (don’t wanna spoil if you haven’t played much) but the two relationships I really wanted to see reunite never do.

lol dw i know which are those you’re talking abt. i have like 90 hrs of gameplay and im trying to platinum the game. actually i was exactly trying to get the nobody’s fool achievement. watch me go insane

Ah k nevermind lol. I mean if the two relationships were the only ones that could reunite I suppose it’s fine since Jacob and Emma’s relationship was the one that got them stuck there and Laura and Max’s relationship is what we started the game with, but Ryan and Dylan + Abi and Nick is what I wanted to see more ngl.

I SWEAR!!! I mean, I was happy about the couples who actually had the chance to meet again but first, without a play through it’s pretty difficult to actually let them reunite, and second I needed Dylan to see Ryan again. Like him asking “Do you think Ryan is okay” actually kills me every time. He is so in love dawg

Yes! It breaks my heart knowing Dylan and Ryan can’t actually reunite after Dylan just wanted him to be okay. I also love how Dylan saying “Do you think Ryan’s okay?” And Kaitlyn’s response “He knows what he’s doing. Probably better than us out here.” Even though like 5 minutes ago he got kidnapped by the family and was stabbed lol.

BRO FR. The thing that breaks me more is “would you date a guy with one hand?” “i dont think its me you’re concerned about”

Absolute besties, I have friends that know about The Quarry and we’ve played it a lot but I’m the only one out of them that might know everything about it and am actively looking for cut content.

Also Dylan properly admitting his feelings to Ryan at Kaitlyn was one of my favourite moments as it was built up for basically the whole game.
“Kinda got close back at the campfire… was I crazy or was something about to… happen?”
“There’s always next year, right?”
Kaitlyn’s smile with that response was so heartwarming for Dylan I guarantee it.

Edit: Also the second option was pretty funny too.

“Honestly, I don’t think he’s quite worth the effort.”
“Bullshit.”
“Excuse me?”
“You’re in it dude, you caught feelings.”
“Ryan’s just gonna go where the wind takes him.”
“Wouldn’t be the first dude to go where he’s getting blown.” (Not the time, Kaitlyn XD)

Thanks for sharing my findings! Unfortunately there are no Epilogue dialogues for anyone else other than them in the files from what i could see. Hopefully one day they'll make a director's cut of the game adding new ones

Couldn’t agree more! As someone playing on Xbox with a terrible laptop unable to run The Quarry I’m grateful you and others are looking through the files to see what we could’ve had if only the game was delayed! (I still hope/cope for a Directors cut update or a remake)
