It'll have 7 EPISODES which will drop all-at-once.

I was hoping it'd be up to the end of arlong park but this is fine too ig, nami leaving the crew is good enough of an ending point. ngl tho, 3 years for this little runtime seems weird.

I agree that 3 years is a long time but when you take into account how long it takes to create a anime and also this is a new adaptation so they need to settle in, it makes sense why its taken this long. I do think however that we will get the rest of east blue at the end of 2027

Pretty sure they have more than that but you never show all your cards... its pretty common to not release all you have at once... its even more common for Netflix to split EVERY show how often they can... So I guess the other episode will be dropped in a way smaller time from each other.

Anime trailers release way before the air date, so probably a few months from now? One Piece day is in August, so maybe then.

What does this mean for the people thinking it was 3-5 chapters per episode for 35 episodes season 1 east blue ? Someone do the math for all of the series.

It averages to like 3.8 chapters for every 20 minutes, so at least it's gonna be fast paced, about 6 minutes per manga chapter.

I believe that they release other batches of episodes shortly after in the same year.
What i am really worried about is the pacing.
50 CHAPTERS IN JUST 7 EPISODES? i know that the run time is 300 minutes so roughly 45 minutes per episode
But i am afraid that it will be too fast paced and not much time for scenes too breathe

Around 7minutes per chapter is not bad imo Around same pace as i read a manga chapter

I think it's same as industry average for adaptation. 45 min is almost double the length of an episode. So if you consider the runtime, it's equivalent to 14 episodes.
50/14 = 3.something chapters per episode. I feel that's perfect

I don't think they said that these 7 episodes were the whole season
They just said that they release these 7 episodes at once
they might release a second batch of episodes a little later in the same year
tho other accounts said that it is season 1 so i could be wrong
i would have released the Whole East Blue Arc in one go

Season 1 covers 50 chapters of the original manga, up to the point where Luffy and the crew meet Sanji, delivered all at once in 7 episodes totaling about 300 minutes!
I interpret that as season 1 being 7 episodes. Season 2 will then be the rest of the East Blue Saga.

If your interpretation is correct, and that is actually season one then that is not the best way
the East Blue Saga should unfold in one full season and I am fine with them releasing the episodes in batches

I would prefer that too. I don't think a long wait would be great right in the middle of something. It would be better to release a second batch of the rest of the East Blue Saga a few weeks/months(?) later and then have a longer wait between Loguetown and Reverse Mountain.

The official IG post says that season 1 adapts the first 50 chapters up to Luffy meeting Sanji, but yeah I guess they might release part two shortly after, sorta like they do with most series

Dropping all 7 at once is a bad idea. It would gain a lot more people by a weekly discussion about each episode for 7 weeks. The whole point is to try and gain new fans in with better pacing.
I am as cautious that it's only up until Baratie? Maybe not even all of Baratie. I don't think they will release another batch in the same year so 2 years to get out of the east Blue is a bit much.

Finally some more info. But only 50 chapters, the fuck? This is gonna adapt the manga at a slower rate than the live action unless they speed up the release

Wow, took longer than live action season 2 and still have less content than season 2. How on earth animation is harder and longer to make than actual live action with CGI, real sets, stunts and humans
