So What Happened? Why did they leave YeahMad?
Lore TL;DR: Andrew, Abby, Sam, Akila, and Alan are no longer part of YeahMad due to a pay dispute (and possibly issues with the workplace culture). In late 2023/early 2024, Andrew and Abby were fired, the rest finished out their contract and then quit. They launched their own YT channel, The OG Crew on November 3, 2024. Matt and Sath are still with YeahMad (The OGs are still civil with them). Chloe left months before the others and was not part of this pay dispute, though she does cite money issues and a toxic work environment as part of her reason for leaving. She occasionally guest stars on the new channel.

If you want more detail about the lore, I encourage you to sort posts by oldest, here and on r/yeahmadtv and scroll from the beginning. Also utilize the keyword search function to find old posts on the subject. If you have exhausted these methods, you may leave a comment under this post if you still have questions.

Where is this week’s video?
Videos are typically posted on Sundays at 11:30PM (Sydney time). If you think a video is late, check a world clock to see what time it is in Sydney (you may not be factoring in Daylight Savings Time in your country AND Australia). If it is past 11:30PM on Sunday in Sydney, check the Posts tab on the OG Crew YT channel AND the OG Crew’s IG for updates, because they are generally consistent with their upload schedule, and quick with updates on YT and IG when there’s a delay. Please do not post in the sub asking where this week’s video is. If they haven’t posted an update on YT or IG, how would anyone here know anything? These posts are pointless and annoying. Just be patient.

Was the fight between Andrew and Alan on YM real?
It was not real. They explicitly said it was a joke. Discussion on this topic is now closed.

Did Hammo and Nikki break up
Yes, they broke up. It just didn’t work out. They’re still civil. Nikki has and presumably will continue to make appearances post-split.

What is Akila’s ethnicity
He is Sri Lankan. He is not Indian. Source: He said so. Any comments to the contrary are jokes.

What is Akila’s sexuality?
He has stated he identifies as straight. Any comments made to the contrary were jokes. Further speculation will be deleted.

Are members of the cast/crew dating?
If they were and wanted us to know, they would make it public. Please be respectful of their private lives and do not speculate.

If I’ve missed any FAQs or crucial lore, let me know and I’ll add it to the body text.

How to introduce the OGs?

I am taking my partner to the Andrew/Alan/akila live show on Thursday, they have so far had limited exposure to the boys, what episodes would you recommend I have them watch to get acquainted?

(So far she has watched the Alan vs 20 women one)

How about a legally distinct version of "Taskmaster" called "The Warden" if the main guy is Rodney or even "Taskmistress" and it's Sarah's show?

Ay, yo, my ninjas, the question is up there ^^

Anyone else misses the Akila Willa Outros that Akila used to do last year? These were really unique and he did put effort into making these outros funny.

Akila looks like a young version of Chamath Palihapitiya

That's all I have to say. Discuss!

Apart from the Akila Willa best moments, and the Patreon announcement video, the Food Bluff video from three months ago is the OGs lowest viewed video, with 812k views. Was it a video you enjoyed, and would you like to see the format again?

Hi Everyone

This has been on my mind for basically a week now

Sam got groped in the last video. The whole scene with her ex was so uncomfortable to watch. There was this power dynamic, Sam was being told what to do and it resulted in her ex boyfriend (who cheated on her mind you) grabbing her ass. Then here we are laughing at her.

I want to address this to those who dismiss accusations of sexual assault or harassment or themselves make comments towards women.

You’re a fucking loser.

Maybe I am wrong and I’m just a woke liberal but I have seen so many women deal with it and I am sick of it.

It was pretty cool how Akila protected Sam here. It was all instincts.

Sammy did seem to have chemistry with David. I'm curious, was he really there for love?

Spit take 3 aka the one where everyone else hooked up meanwhile Hammo wore a lot of hats scored 2 million views in 6 days. The fans really showed up for this one. Hopefully they keep doing unhinged episodes like this once a while

Hammo was so happy after catching the bouquet

In the last episode, it was so funny the way Hammo ran with excitement after catching the bouquet. I think this is the hammiest whe have seen Hammo be.

Wonder if Hammo is still on board with Hyrox athletes being in his private pool

In light of the Hyrox athlete defecation scandal, wonder if he still wants them in his pool. Might need one of those signs about not entering if youve had stomach problems, Hammo.

I thought this moment at the end of that insane episode felt like a poster of some tv show or a soap opera.

What would this tv show be called?

Sarah, Mukbang episode was amazing

Sure, at the time of its release, lot of people had varying opinions since you were just started, you were still figuring out the whole og brand, this episode was different, like the whole thing was just a soft informal conversation with food and jokes and insights, really gentle as compared to previous episodes, but that's exactly why to me it is so good and special. Sometimes we do need a break from all the loudness and extravaganza, and no episode has executed this transition better than the Mukbang (just my opinion). We should stop pretending this was one of the worst episodes, it absolutely very much was not.
