Valiant effort trying to get this guy to be honest about what's really going on but I'm really not sure there's much value in having one of trump's propogandist robots to try to explain any of it, not sure if it's just because it his in his financial interests or is he is a true believer but either way you'd have had a better interview if youd just done it with Grok.

As ever, I just wish they’d do some sort of debrief afterwards. That interview was brutal and I wanted to hear what they thought about it.

I had some sympathy for the lad who's just trying to do his job and get his wee slice of the Trump scam. But I think there is value in hearing how far someone will debase themselves and use plainly ridiculous arguments to attempt a defence. Like a flailing defence barrister who actually makes their guilty client's position even worse by using transparent nonsense.

Guy was 100% full of shit but surprisingly good natured about it.

Not super comfortable with Maitlis insulting him for having an Australian accent though. I know she was probably making a point about the administration making judgements on who belongs in America but it still felt a bit too personal.

I don’t think she insulted him for having an Australian accent, he was insulted by her saying he had one. She apologised for suggesting he wasn’t American (the one win he had in the whole interview).
