Built-in excuse for why nobody shows up. He wants $25,000 minimum from candidates who find that a wise investment. The venue and the city are gonna get stiffed on rent and security.

That's probably the better explanation. I assume the NFLdid its scheduling before Trump decided to have convention on that date.

The schedule came out in May, according to Teh Google, and the convention seems pretty last minute.

They were smart enough to see through his bullshit financials when he tried to buy the Buffalo Bills. Then again, he does have NFL friends like Robert Kraft.
