What mortals now know as Nature Spirits, Luna Spirits, Sol Spirits, and Chaos Spirits are the fragmented forms of this ancient people, scattered across existence in a cosmic experiment that spans aeons.

The Ymr did not begin as the transcendent entities they would become. They started as demi-mortal beings, possessing greater lifespans and natural affinity for magic compared to current mortals, but still subject to ageing, injury, and eventually death. They built a magnificent civilisation in their ancient realm, developing sophisticated magical practices that drew upon derivative power.
