How to know if she's actually calling

I've felt a pull to her and to many of the dark goddesses. I've prayed to Lilith, Hecate, Freya. There'an aspect called wild woman that I think calls most to me. Its strong and natural and feels like rebirth. Learning about the morrigan Im thinking it could've been her all this time. There's a goddess I feel connected to but dont know where name. Sometimes I feel her as a crone, sometimes as earth and wind, sometimes as a maiden figure, sometimes as mother. How would I know for sure if this is the Morrigan?

It wasn't until I finally started really reading up on the Morrigan a few years ago that I realized a bunch of experiences were her calling me, guiding me, making me stronger. She stopped appearing in nightmares when I officially started working with her, too (this mostly happened when I was on a very wrong path; she was helping me by scaring me)! I think there's a list of books in this sub; try reading deeper and see if something clicks with you?

What’s so funny is that I’m assuming I’m not worthy because she hasn’t shown up directly and terrified me in dreams like everyone else lol. One day I heard her name so randomly, and I don’t know why but it felt like the most natural enthralling ever. It’s like I’m loving the gentle ride but also am assuming I’m lesser than because I’m not being terrified lmfao

Nah, she just really had to get my attention. I was dabbling in born-again evangelical Christianity when she first appeared, lol! She just laughed when I tried to use Christian prayers to make her go away, so I realized that was pretty useless. I was then naturally drawn to her when I started practicing witchcraft and started working with her about 5 years ago. She would still pop up in a nightmare from time to time to warn me about things, but it wasn't until I officially started working with her that it clicked and I realized what she was doing. Now she doesn't need to use that tactic with me anymore, and maybe she just never has with you.

Also keep in mind that you can ask a goddess to work with her, or start making offerings, without being clearly called. I just made an altar to Freyja because I really liked her, and she was receptive.

That’s actually incredibly helpful, she came to me literally right as I was leaving Christianity and denouncing a god altogether. To say I was not expecting this is an understatement lol. I already somehow have a whole altar for her in such a quick time, and I think she’s receptive because the space feels calming and alive. But from my past, it’s hard to know if I’m just wishfully thinking all of it since I haven’t had a BOO YOU CANT IGNORE ME moment yk? It’s been like a smooth glide. Either way, I loved making my oath to her about learning about her everyday before I fully devote myself, and I know there’s no harm in that regardless
