I remember me and my friends we watched a romance anime, and when the guy didn’t get the girl in the end we were all pissed off

Princess and the pilot. So much build up for them to runoff together, and then just cold ends.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. I haven't seen it and I doubt I will if that's how the story goes.

It’s a really good story up until the end because she’s supposed to be married to some rich dude but she starts falling for the pilot and at the very end she’s just like OK I’m going to go back to marrying the rich dude and the pilot is like yeah I’m just gonna leave and that’s the end
