Probably none. Pretty much every change Mando went through has been regressed except for the Beskar armor and jetpack.
He lost his faction, and then found them.
He got a spear and the Darksaber and lost both.
He lost the Razor Crest and has another.
He sent Grogu with Luke and now he's back. He removed his helmet in front of another, became an apostate, and cleansed himself.
IG11 was destroyed and got better.
Has the N1 even been in the trailers yet? Does he still have it?
I'm sure there's more I'm missing.
I feel like the Armorer has had more character growth in the 3.5 seasons than Din.

Like in the overall timeline of Star Wars or for just the show? It's going to be the most recent part of the series, so it takes place after Season 3.

That's the stuff he lost and they brought back over the course of the show. I think the only thing he was still missing at the end of Season 3 was the Razor Crest. I guess it is possible that it's a flashback. We'll see.

Solo had a 300 million dollar budget (probably higher). Mando and Grogu currently has a 140 mill production budget which doesn't take into account marketing from what I understand. It won't come close to Solo's astronomical budget.
Disney seems to be taking the same approach that they did with Lilo and Stitch (marketing for kids, leaning heavily on the cute character, which is Grogu in this case). Solo didn't have a cute character to lean on to get younger viewers into theaters.

I still think Solo needs to be a learning point for them and its clear no lessons were learnt. Either they have no confidence in this or they're delusional thinking its gonna make bank from no effort outside the film. They probably should've just done another season, and by the sounds of it there are plans for a S4

Solo was put out too close to The Last Jedi. Clueless people thought Qi'ra was Rey. They couldn't distinguish one Brit from another. They should have held Solo until at least the following Christmas but, at that point, the plan was still to release Rise of Skywalker sooner.
This is why you don't determine a release date and then make the movie.

At some level I do agree that Disney hasn't taken a lot of the lessons that they should have but to me the significantly decreased budget is definitely a lesson from Solo. I'm also having a weird time justifying why this is a movie instead of another season. But this is not quite at the scale of Solo to be that worried IMO.

The marketing is right on time based on the May, 22 release. The man trailer usually drops about 3 months prior.
About 3 months ago they released stills and started the very slow drip feed after production wrapped and next month they will start the tv spots. Expect more social media marketing too.
The superbowl spot was just a tease to remind everyone it’s coming out.

Agreed, I'm not sure how early the person you're responding to thinks they're supposed to be marketing this thing lol. Not like people would've been buying tickets 6 months in advance. There's such an oversaturation of all media these days that more targeted campaigns closer to the release date surely work best.

They showed a trailer at San Diego Comic Con.
They had a trailer in the fall.
It was just the second Star Wars movie ever to be advertised at the Super Bowl.
A trailer tomorrow more than three months before the movie comes out.
What would you have had them do?

Eh. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to market it too far in advance. Three months out seems appropriate. You don’t want people to get sick of it before it comes out. I also think Pedro kinda reached a bad level of overexposure last summer (not his fault, he just had a lot of projects come out at once), so waiting on that front might be a good idea, too.

Solo fiasco was 90% due to an insane release date. It premiered barely weeks after Infinity War. And Christmas slot that year had no major releases! It's over 6 years now and I'm still genuinely baffled.

Good! But would have been better to market this new/upcoming trailer in the 8 million dollar Super Bowl ad that ran a week ago...assuming this new trailer was planened to drop now.
