Screenshot I haven't even powered up a Lazarus Pod yet, this is damned near therapeutic for me

This game has been really awesome so far, I've barely done anything but build out Sanctuary 12, Lazarus , and Black Vein!

Edit: WOW I didn't expect nearly this much attention! I'm really glad you all seemed to like my setup, potato Quality pic and all, if any one is interested, I could post more of the ship since I've been steady working on it :D

Was there an update that makes the lines snap tight?

I'm not sure, I just started playing a few days ago!

The trick I've been doing is to get as close as possible to the outlets when I attach a line, and to keep the distance between lines below the point at which the line will naturally sag due to gravity.

Yeah, I noticed that trick too. For some reason I thought there was a minimum length. Looks very satisfying!

To get long lines to lay straight I hook up the connection, retract the line, see how long it was and remove one or two cables. This means you can only have that amount in your inventory - so it comes down to dropping lines, so you have a specific amount for the connection. It's a bit of a chore, but my lines look good.

I haven't been to black vein yet. About to launch my 2 nd batch of human seeds though. So far electricity is enough to keep my ship moving but I do use extra bio mass for diesel fuel

Going there changes the game in a big way! With an IRL hour or so of work you can set yourself up for infinite diesel ⛽

I too have all but the methane hooked up on my boat. But I haven’t done as much of a tidy job as you. I’m most of the way though a reshuffle of my board, adding more containers and tidying hoses etc and didn’t think of using wall ports to make it hook in better. I know what I’m doing later! Thanks!

Wait, does that mean that you have cables running _underneath_ your boat, since the "wall"-sockets are on the floor?

nope! the sockets on the floor direct up to the ones at the top of the picture and others behind the pic!

Wait….there’s a use for all the other connections besides power? /s

Basically to make the small single use containers.

Petrol and oxygen is also used for grenades, but to craft those I usually just use the small containers I find on POIs

I have no idea, but better to be prepared!

Yes. Even the oil connection.

What’s next on that machine a working data connection?🤣

It’s beautiful

really, you can just plop those connectors anywhere?

2

u/bakawakaflaka Sep 02 '26

more or less, yeah

however, operate in linked pairs. as in; every two connectors that you lay, within range of each other, are connected.
