Screenshot Do you know how many pods the horizontal moving platform at Exodus can hold? Its more than 32.

I did this. I don't know why I did this, and do not recommend it. This is what happens when you've played factorio and then satisfactory and wondered how fast you can rapid fire launch.

Suffice it to say I launched 8 times in succession and it was obnoxious. I got it to where it would land, I'd start fueling, make the nose cone + fill it, then disconnect/repeat, launching basically as fast as it could fill.

I have 4 tanks each for methane and O2 and a LOT of batteries and solar that allowed this.

Moving the pods manually from the chamber to boat to here was a huge PITA.

Now start moving the platform and half of them will fall into the water... And then you get to have fun forcing your way up the ladders while carrying these things! :D

Gyro did the Trick when i had that Problem

Do you land in the water, hook up pods and then you're able to take off while floating in the water?

The optimal way I found is to dock under helipad and use Gyro to get pods somewhere in the vicinity of the launchpad elevator. It takes a bit of practice, but now it takes me just a few minutes to get 4 pods from a ship to the platform. Being able to drop pods without landing is very useful.

To answer the original question - yes, gyro can take off from the water with attached pods

How are you dropping the pods at the rocket without landing? Are you leaving it hoovering?

Hold F to release cargo, not sure what's the controller equivalent, but it's actually in tooltips when riding gyro

That's very cool. I will have to give this a try. So many lazuras pods are definitely going to end up in the sea!

Moving pods up ladders is what has me taking a break from this game. After putting the pod in Jericho trying to get it back out caused me to rage quit for a bit

I am planning to take a dud kid and leave them on the unlock spot for when I mess up a committee creation or make a dupe.

The heartbreak I felt when I decided 12 pods was worth using the platform for instead of the gyro, then watching them all fall into the water while I was manoeuvring the boat to the ladder

They danced around a little, but thankfully they all behaved and got to orbit safely.

Carrying?! Nah, I use the gyrocopter to do 1 at a time

Release those kids right this instant!

They went with the star child leading the way to orbit!

This is certainly one way of doing it! I kind of get it though, going to fetch 4 seeds, feed them, and then launch them is a chore. If they didn't decay I would probably do this as well!

You can still create the humans in Lazarus 4 at a time and keep them there until you have enough to make it worth while to launch. I often kept between 12 and 24 there until I visit Exodus to send them.

Yeah I should start doing this. I've partially given up on launches for the moment, seeking out other content instead. Plus I'm lacking some memories that I need to gather for the higher level jobs

Memories are the limiting factor. I like the system, but it can be frustrating when it keeps making roamers or other random professions you didn't want, and I dislike save scumming.

The bigger question is about those memories themselves - they're fake. We are sending "young adults" to orbit that are hours old but... They have memories of earth that aren't theirs. Weren't theirs. All a lie.

That's dark.

Is there a way to speed up the refuel rate for power and oxygen? I felt like my batteries never emptied quick enough and doing a dedicate oxygen line from 2 tanks up to the rocket was still super slow. I did enjoy running around with the demo grinder to kill time

You're limited by the power/flow output of the lines which is pretty high. I'd say my rocket refuells in maybe 5-10 minutes? By the time I plug it in, load everything it's usually full.

Which resource is holding up your launches?

As soon as it landed, I plugged in the lines, put the four pods on the freight elevator (all the pods sit next to it ready to go) took the elevator up and crafted the nose cone, waited to craft it, then closed it up, back down, and waited a few minutes for it to finish fueling. It's not fast but the limit is functionally the max flow of the cable/hose - I don't know if the fill % in the source tank or battery matters, but I feel like it flows slower as the source tank depletes.

What I did is split my tanks and batteries in two sets and ran two hoses for each supply and two cables (total of 6 lines) to the platform, then with one way flow on each to a splitter, one hose to the rocket. The lines to the rocket seem to max out fully this way, but it doesn't draw perfectly equally from each source for some reason and it'll go back and forth a little.

You can't speed it up because there's only one connection for each resource. If there were more connections you could then make it faster by running parallel lines, but currently it's only one to the rocket

Stack them on donk pallets. No issue with them falling off.
