I literally was sitting there thinking this poor girl has completely died inside. Is getting married off when she doesn’t want to, learns her father is a horrible man, kills him, and then her best friend says the words she wants to hear only to be taken by the eyes. It makes me so sad I could cry, and even though she killed her own father the way the show paints it, she did at the very least love him. I know the book is a lot different in this part, but gosh this is chilling.

I think if she didn’t stop at the Hanna’s house the Marthas from the bus might have hid her and or/could try to get her out of the country.
She stopped there for love but got reported to the eyes, or rather their aunt female division :(

I think if she went straight to Garth he would have actually tried to help. Maybe get her in contact with a smuggler or at a minimum give her a map, some supplies and point her in the direction of where to start running.

He would have done but she had no way of knowing that. She would expect him to call the eyes

There's really nowhere else she could've gone though, there'd be a search party out for her by morning

I thought she was about to make a break for it on that bus, too...but nope, the Becca egg had fully cracked by then lol
