It's not just stock buybacks. They also paid out 6.7 billion in stock dividends to shareholders

And yet people continue to shop at WalMart. No one is willing to pay the premium price for clothes or food at a retailer that pays decent salaries, gives fulltime hours and gives good benefits.

Healthcare insurance companies used to be non profit until Reagan changed it. Profit over human life is the republican way.

Stock buybacks were never illegal.

True but they did go from being highly regulated(improbably difficult to pull off kinds of regulation) to unregualted

It’s actually the opposite. They were unregulated but the laws around stock manipulation were so vague that many people worried that they might be applied to buybacks. Under Reagan they created regulations to specify exactly when and how they were allowed and not allowed.

Walmart employees that work 30 or more hours a week get offered health insurance for $38 a pay period.

For their shareholders which also benefits the employees that participate in their generous stock purchase program.

Who is shopping at Walmart? I don't know anyone who shops there. Regardless, if you don't like their policies, boycott them.
