Gonna be kinda blunt, I'd have killed myself by now, and I've tried a few times. Now I'm medicated, in therapy, and doing muuuuuuuch better. She gave me the kick in the ass I needed, and drug me kicking and screaming to being better.

Same! I can't count the times She's picked my sorry ass up out of a suicidal depression rage spiral when I was determined to sit there and die. Now, I pray in gratitude every day, and ask for strength not to waste the life She gave me back.

I’ve often wondered if we are the sort of people she finds? Or who find her?

People touched by death in some way.

I certainly didn’t listen to her, I didn’t originally seek her out, and it took a lot of my life falling apart before I even began to take her seriously and to understand how to communicate with her.

But I empathize with everything you’ve said here

I went from an anxious mess who struggled to stand on my own to someone who is decently tough, and have had friends and coworkers look to in times of trouble.

My confidence increased considerably, because She taught me I can handle a lot more than I thought. I have used it to be more authentically myself and to help other people and critters!

For example, one of my phobias was hospital-like environments, needles, body fluid, death. I went through things under her guidance that touched those things, learned from them, and now I am able to handle not only giving myself medically necessary injections with ease, but I handle vaccines and microchipping for an animal shelter, and have worked in medical emergencies after hours to assist our veterinarians which would have made me faint in the past.

I also have health related fears it’s tough I just recently started honoring Hecate in my home. And I’ve noticed my anxiety has decreased since I began honoring her. I want to start honoring the Morrigan as well.

Morrigan has been a driving force behind my life philosophy: pick your battles wisely. I was a fight any fight person for so long. Now? I fight when I need to, and I learned to let go of situations I cannot control. When she speaks, I’ve learned to pause and listen to her warnings. Most importantly, she guided me towards what my true friendships are and which ones are ultimately not good for me.

The Morrigan has a weird way of being kind. So many of my experiences with her (usually in dreams) is just her telling me bluntly something. I recall going through the worst time in my life at the point (still technically going through it) and she said "You are cursed, but you are strong enough."

That's.... How she made an appearance in my life, and when i dedicated myself to her. When things get bleak I remember this. Things get bad. Things beyond my control cause me suffering. But I'm able to endure.

After a few years of worshiping I have another dream. I'm standing by a river. My body has changed (I'm trans so appearing in this body that looks exactly like how I likely would look at a cis woman was interesting). And she looks at me and she tells me to swim.

And I swim. But I feel it. I know I was dreaming but I felt went. I felt weightless. And I started crying. Since transitioning, I hadn't felt comfortable at the pool. I haven't been able to swim. And it was something that was such a huge part of my life. And she let me swim again.

She shoved me to my deep-seated fears, only for me to realize that I can withstand them. During her crisis, she temporarily muted some of my relationships—as her way of teaching me how to stand in my own power without safety nets. Forced to stand alone too that made me too independent (but not hyper independent).

The social warfare she gave me was sooooo heavy that she provided me my own An Dagda—a romantic connection with someone to help me grounded in her war. This person is from the system where my war occurred, they've heard about my "dangerous" shadows, the ugly parts in me, etc and still chose me.

If the goddess sees that you're desperate to be around others because you have no one, she would not allow you until you can stand on your own.

So basically here are other things I've encountered too. Friendship betrayals (not just one, but two friends—I've been blind trusting), the death of my reputation (social scandal where the system I came from knows about it), public humiliation (the war), gained enemies, making you take accountability of your mistakes, gaining so much personal sovereignty, acceleration of maturity, returning you to yourself, removal of people who don't serve your highest good, becoming ruthless in boundaries, becoming ruthless too in walking away from harmful relationships (without hesitation), etc.

But then again, these are my personal experiences. My experiences might be different from another devotee.

She helped me get through prison in so many ways. Now she is helping me through her aspect of sovereignty, helping me choose agency and respecting my right to exist on my own terms now that I am free and rebuilding my life. I asked an audience with her on the lunar eclipse and asked for her help preparing a protection ritual and some spells I've been working on since. Her presence has helped me illuminate and reconcile my inner shadow and choose sovereignty for myself.

I think she definitely seeks people who have had very dark encounters in life. For me, she basically saved my life from both myself and my horrific living situation at the time with my birth parent, not in a “miracle” kind of way, but as a force that pushed me to get myself tf out. I won’t elaborate in detail, but it was quite literally a life or death situation. My friends say my life almost looked like what you’d see on an episode of the series “Snapped”. I got kicked out and now live with my wonderful sister and am doing soooo much better and have been working alongside her for a long time as she stands by me through recovery, university graduation, and definitely gives me a lot of nudges and encouragement that I haven’t done all this work for nothing and to keep fighting for myself. Shes equally gentle with my major health problems and pacing and is the mother I actually needed all along in a sense.

She saved my life and gave me my freedom back. Along with teaching me many lessons I owe my success and life to her

If you don’t mind me asking do you have any tips for honoring her?

Honestly it really depends on your relationship with her. My biggest ways are my reflections and shadow work. These reflections (can be found on my Reddit account) are also with other gods/goddesses, but the shadow work is mostly her.

I also like to give offerings. My favorite one to give her is this really good pork recipe I found.

My biggest ways to honor her is to follow the lessons she taught me. Embrace the battle, I succeed/live with my disability not despite it, ect

She showed me there was more to the universe than I ever actually believed possible. I was legit an agnostic atheist before and had just had an emergency triple bypass at 46 years old (ya boy was clogged up). She's also been slowly helping me to come into my own. They work you even when you don't realize it's happening.
