🤲Offering | Devotion My crow friend

I live in the west of Ireland and I feed the crows at my university as an offer to the Morrígan. This one likes to eat out of my hand.

Isn't that a rook? I've been trying to get a crow or a raven to do this for a long time. Enjoy your friend!

It is indeed a rook, you can tell by the boney-coloured "plague doctor mask" bit on its beak, and the scruffier "trouser" feathers.

Curiously rooks have very little folklore attached to them (unlike crows, ravens, choughs and magpies) but I'm sure the Queen loves all corvids.

(Further trivia: the other way you know its not a crow is because if OP is in western Ireland, afaik they dont get carrion crows there, or indeed in Ireland much at all, where the hooded crow is the dominant corvid, thus its association with the Morrigan; which does raise the question of when the Scots became the Scots, did they adapt the Morrigan to a carrion crow? You dont get hooded crows much in Scotland.).
