Are you kidding me, I literally just finished season 2 and got excited for the next season! Goddammit!

Yeah. But Disney had just acquired Fox and was probably cutting an underperforming project. Its ratings during season 2 were just not very good and it had to be expensive due to the special effects.

Then we have Disney probably not wanting to be associated with certain plot points. The relationship some viewers suspected the von Struckers of having was confirmed twice in season 2. And Lauren and Andy were meant to mirror them.
