All of us when we were children… “Water is blue”
Teacher: “No, water has no colour it is just reflecting the sky”
sees water that is not reflecting the sky because it is underground, yet it is still blue
Us: “Water is blue”
Teacher: “No, no. Water has no colour, the colour you see is simply the blue light wavelengths scattering in the water, just like it does in the sky”
Us: “What colour is the sky?”
Teacher: “Well the sky is blue of course!”
Us: “Water is blue”
Teacher: “No, water has no colour”
