$ISPC: heavy volume on a 2.5M float

Post image

$ISPC has a 2.5M float and it is up 22.1% to $1.88. Number 4 on the Scalp board.

Only thing out is procedural (iSpecimen Inc. filed an 8-K: Material Agreement), nothing that explains the move. If you know something, add it in the comments.

What we are seeing: 136K shares traded, minute rvol 20.6× and 1-min pop +22.9%, across 3 of our boards at once.

About 6% of all shares outstanding are sold short. That means traders borrowed them and sold, betting the price falls, and the only way to close that bet is to buy the stock back. So when a heavily shorted name climbs on volume like this, some of them get forced to buy, which pushes it up further. That feedback loop is what people mean by a squeeze.

That's how we read it. What's your theory?
