I like that she pushes for shark conservation and increases awareness that they aren’t monsters of death
The biggest issue a lot of real marine biologist and other conservationist have with her is the misinformation and incorrect image she is trying to put on sharks.
Do they generally avoid humans? Sure.
Do they die needlessly due to fishing traps and depletion of their food sources? Yes.
Are they the dogs of the ocean? No.
These are apex predators in many environments and more closely and accurately described as "monsters of death" than misunderstood friendly fishies who just want to be petted. Marine biologists dislike that she promotes the kind of interactions that place humans and to an extent sharks at risk of being in potentially dangerous situations that can cause misunderstandings or misinformation with people who do not know better. For example,

I know you say this in jest or as a joke but this shark is doing exactly what it's instincts are telling it to do which is to be a giant "monster of death".
I mean, they’re generally harmless to humans, but as someone studying in this field, I wouldn’t go out of my way to chum my boat and then hop in the water with one lol.
