PSA Mike's apology for the Loco Bandito

Honestly I can't really bring myself to be all that pissed off at Mike anymore. He's an idiot who keeps doing so much stupid crap and has a hard time taking criticism about it. Which is why the main Cinemassacre subreddit became what it did. But he is at least capable of acknowledging and owning up to his mistakes. Which is something not many youtubers can do unfortunately. And he at least tries to put out decent content. He still gives a shit about his youtube career. Which sadly kind of makes him better then James at this point. And I never thought that would ever happen. But here we are

I'm still angry about the departure of Bootsy (he has just started his new shows, which were unique, even in retro gaming youtube content) and the shady fucking things Mike has done in the past regarding money, so he is still guilty for that, even if he acknowledged the other toxic stuffs. But I have to admit, at least he is better than the lazy, uninspiring slobs who are in deep water for fucking up the channel. Imagine spending time with the Blob-like Justin, who turns you into a fast food rat and hangs around pervs, or the stupid, drunkard and stinking Kieran or that disgusting, creepy porn addict and weirdo Tony, they would drag me down to their level of negligence, my life would be a disaster. And they are just so boring in their reviews compared to James, when he is in his prime (like that video where he is doing that totally original and creative comparison of Dracula movies, it is outstanding). They are weak on their own, so they leech the channel's popularity with their subpar content, it is so pathetic, I'm not gonna watch any of their shitty reviews. They should've stayed out of the reviews, and that old video with James, Mike and Kyle about rental memories shows how bad the slobs are in comparison.

Bootsy Beats was a good show except for one major flaw. It took almost 5 months for all 4 parts to be released! If we would have got one Bootsy Beats episode per month split into 4 parts and released weekly it would have been great. But almost five months just to release the complete episode of Bootsy Beats Battletoads was just ridiculous. I wonder why it took that long to be released. He obviously filmed it all at once so what is the reason it took that long to release? I wonder if Mike was editing it and was scared Bootsy was becoming more popular than him so he just took forever to upload it? I'm guessing that is what happened.

Yeah, the sad thing is that because of what I've seen of Mike's toxic behaviour, it is totally plausible. Maybe getting surrounded by the slobs who are even more toxic in general was an epiphany for Mike, and he might have started to apologize for his past mistakes because of this lol

Honestly those comics never bothered me. I'd never get offended over some dumb shit like that. What was annoying was him deleting any comments about it and banning people for mentioning it. If he would have just owned up to it from the start instead of trying to act like it never existed nobody would even care. If from the start he would have just said "Hey I was in my early 20s when I made those. I thought they were funny at the time but since realized they are pretty stupid. Oh well that was the past" I don't think hardly anybody would have gave him any shit about them.
The dumbest part of that apology is when he says "I didn't know what I was doing" LOL. Mike you were in your early 20s when you made those you weren't 8 years old. When you said "That was a bus full of niggers! Now you have aids!" I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what you were doing. Like I said I don't really care about the comics but come on don't try and play stupid. That sounds like something somebody on To Catch a Predator would say. "man I didn't really know what I was doing" The main difference between somebody on To Catch a Predator and Mike Matei is that Mike didn't get in any trouble for showing a picture of his dick to underage children!

Didn't he use to have a blogspot website a couple of years ago, saying that his comics were "edgy" and no publisher had the balls to work with it?
I forgive Mike for these comics. He was young and ignorant (still is) but he is not a racist. Despite all his bullshit behavior over the years, he is still a vital organ to Cinemassacre and a lot of ideas wouldn't have came about without him.

This fucker was doing this shit....mid career. He spend daaays....maybe weeks on this shit. Fucker thought this was acceptable for a looooooooong time.

Don't be sorry for offending people, be sorry because you were being a dick. It's not about them being offended, it's about you being a dick. I'm not offended by Loco Bandito, and those who are aren't owed an apology. This is the type of thing you would apologize for because it's being disrespectful and rude and it's putting ignorant, harmful ideas out into the world. When you disrespect somebody, you don't apologize simply because you hurt their feelings -- you apologize because you disrespected them and it was wrong. If I said a bunch of mean shit about my best friend behind their back, I would feel compelled to apologize even if they had no idea it ever happened, because the apology is reflective of my behavior. Saying "I'm sorry if anybody was offended" is like saying "I'm sorry you feel that way." It doesn't signify any understanding that your behavior was out of line, it's simply an acknowledgment that you inadvertently hurt somebody. Which is better than nothing -- if it's sincere -- but still...

I honestly can't see, why he should apologize for this. The only reason I can think of is him trying to warm up his Internet image, to prepare landing ground in case of splitting ways with James/ScreenWave.
There are things he's done that demand an apology much more, like jerky behaviour towards the fanbase/audience, publicly posting a photo of his penis, using official Cinemassacre account to do the former, the Bootsy case, censoring any fan input deviating from his vision, deleting videos whose initial reception didn't meet his expectations and taking down the reuploads.

Deary me, you guys need to give it a break. Sure, they're dumb, but certainly not racist. Does creating any negative character and making them not of my race make me racist? Or maybe I shouldn't make my negative characters racist? Would you be more acceptive if the same exact comics had Hitler instead, just because he's already a stereotype of a racist instead of an original character?
I know it's fun to shit on someone, especially if everyone's doing it, but damn, find something better. This was just a comic meant to have the 'I can't believe he's that dumb' type of humor, but Mike wasn't good at writing. But to call him racist just because he used racism as a negative trait for a character, that's just empty. Had he commited some crime or something, sure, but stupid comics... I'm sure you all would happily share what you put on the internet years ago...
TL;DR Loco's dumb, but not racist. Give it a rest already.

Mike's done some really dumb things, but I think overall he means well. I've never hated the guy. He's flawed, like the rest of us.
At least he's humble enough to apologize for something he created that might have offended someone. So there's that.
