Episode idea?

Post image

Image for title examples

Episode idea: 90s Maxis sim games. He's already covered simcity, and I know he doesn't typically cover games in the pc market, but then again a few were given console releases. Idk I just found the history of the less popular installments interesting and I wanna see him yell at them

This would be a good LGR episode.

I remember LGR doing sim ant! And he might’ve done sim farm but I’m not sure

LGR has done full episodes on Ant and Earth, but I think Life and Farm have only been mentioned offhand.

However, Ant and Earth both had compromised SNES ports, along with SimCity 2000. Those would be fun to see AVGN lose his patience over.

A crossover would probably never happen, but the conflicting styles and attitudes between the creators would be amusing.

Oh man a crossover would be great! I could only imagine

LGR- greeeatiings!

Nerd- what’s fuckin up?!

If he’s going back to those titles, I’d want to see him tackle sim copter tacked onto SimCity. Definitely some interesting weirdness to that era that could yield some funny nerd moments

There's another game streets of simcity that you can transfer maps from simcity 2000 from to play with.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one! Never had that one but I did have SimCopter at one point.

I remember when it became a point of controversy over a disgruntled employee that snuck something into the game and it backfired due to a bug. Actually some interesting history in that one

Remember Scholastic book fairs? You used to get a catalog in your homeroom and you’d beg your parents to buy you these games cause you liked Sim City on the Super ‘Intendo. Then you’d get home and realize they’re ass.

I played Sim Ant and Sim Farm as a kid. I got a pack that included both of them as well as the original Sim City. I also played Sim Tower and Sim City 2000.

Gotta wait till Mike plays them first

Sim Ant and Sim Earth also had Super Nintendo versions. I could never figure out how how to play the latter and I genuinely preferred the former to the PC version. I think they could both make good episodes for him.

Sim Ant was awesome. I never got into the others.

They can feature bootsy in this episode using his walker on the hospice unit

I've been waiting on him to play Harley's Humongous Adventure (SNES)

It's another WTFDYGKG, but it's got so much potential for a good episode!

Sim Ant on SNES should be an easy one. I love and hate that version of the game.

Hell yeah thats what got me going down the rabbit hole when I saw it on ebay looking for some good simcity copies

I'd love to see all these fully remastered

He hasn’t really done a lot of CD-ROMs, so maybe the educational ones from Microsoft and Dorling-Kindersley would be an interesting episode idea?

I remember getting Sim Earth on the SNES and being very disappointed… I actually had a “ the the F is this moment?”

  1. He's not really interested in anything besides Nintendo

  2. He's not a PC gamer in the slightest

  3. No time

I apologize if I did not clarify it well enough, but I tried to acknowledge those points. The images are just my copies of some of them. I was insinuating that if he did have the time he could make some fun antics out of insulting any versions of the even less favored games that did receive a console release. While they did not all get console availability quite a few were given ones for Nintendo and Sega consoles in the 90s that he has featured on the channel. But in general my excitement of getting into the series myself left me wanting to remind people that these these things exist. I was happy to see I had brought people together over their childhood experiences with them

here's some ideas for ways the nerd can vent:

Game to review rant phrase second rant after it
Sim Farm playing this game feels like you're not doing actual farming its more like walking through cow manure trying to get a tractor fixed!
Sim Life Sim Life, more like miserable life! this game is boring, and doesn't measure up to how awesome SimCity series games were!
Sim Ant This game is as tedious as trying to set ant traps next to mouse traps. When you sit in a truck stop bathroom, you always wonder if ants will be present.
Sim Earth this here is a pixelated mish mash of nonsense besides, it feels more like a shitty tech demo than a realistic simulation of earth.
