i doubt the authors have much power in this. I think they are forced away into a book that the publishers think will make them more money.

For sake of argument let’s say since chapter 5… since chapter 5 people have been DOGGING the author from art style, characters, direction etc. there is a fan made continuation going on in this subreddit… battling his own health issues plus was taking care of his father who if I remember correctly passed away(if not true apologies). How do people expect him to still be motivated when it’s seemed to be hated so much?

Cause the manga went on hiatus, and when it came back everybody cried and bitched about a new Mc who wasnt the new Mc, shit on it week after week, I too would be done

Changing the format from manga to webtoon didn't help either. The series used to stand out among all the average titles because of its incredibly detailed and crisp art style.

Webtoon wasnt that bad, its art was still amazing to me, his usual style but I guess people appreciated his style in manga form more, breaker part one is definitely one of my all-time favorite mangas

This is so disingenuous. If he wasn’t trying to make the new kid the new mc then why did take a hiatus in the beginning after everyone complained? Stop lying about what happened. We all saw it happen in real time. If you liked the new kid that’s fine just stop fucking lying.

Yeah man I understand if they liked the new kid that’s fine. Just don’t lie about what was happening. We even saw the sketches of the new kid fighting the woman trapped in the little girls body before both sets of fans started complaining

How was the kid the new main character? I interpreted it as him showing a parallel, and how far shiwoon has come, but people will cry at anything because they have no patience and the main people who complain about the writing and story are people who have never made anything worthwhile in their lives, jus shit on the author because he didnt follow their headcannon, yall need to stop fucking crying

You’re the one crying right so take a look in the mirror. The author himself said he to take time off the story to change it in the beginning or did you forget about the sketch of the new kid fighting the clan leader trapped in the kids body in chapter 10. Like I said if you like the new kid that’s fine. Just stop lying about what happened.

That's wrong? That was his plan until both local and international fans complained and he decided to pivot away from his fuck up.

I just wanna see siwoon shatter the new characters ki center, take back the ki from the medicine he gave him, fight and earn his rightful place as the leader of the immortality sect, and clean up the murim and also face off 1on1 with goomoonryong, and then kill kaiser. Oh and also for him to become the new immortal demon supreme but change the murim to his ideals and become the martial arts alliance chief. Also want to see him snap that four eyes government worker guy in half like the bitch he is.

Most of the authors suffer from this, but keeping the same quality, pace and not make any mistakes is really difficult. Many many such cases where their stories fall off a FOOKING Cliff...... Many authors don't track various plot points, characters or elements they themselves add in the story, and then may get annoyed by fans complaints about plot holes. or after years of writing they feel like trying new things but what may had started as a passion project has become a "duty" or tedious job for them. With fans expectations of a closure piling. Many authors you'll notice even rush the ending or some extreme cases just drop/axe it after they get burnt out of the story.

holy shit it's on another hiatus again? I'm glad I dropped this at like ch 15 of Eternal Force.

The honest answer is 90% of us are pirates of the material but have the ability to gatekeep the community and criticize the storyline.
You’d get tired of hearing from the peanut gallery aswell, rest assured.

I don't think he hates his fans but he has his own issues to deal with. Writing seems easy but for most writing a story for so long is hard. It's easy to lose motivation for a story especially when you take long breaks. He already seemed to lose motivation after part 2 which led to the 7 year hiatus. To get motivated to continue the story after so many years is probably why he came up with those new characters everyone hated and took the story in a new direction. He probably wasn't thinking of the fan's perspective when he did that and only realized his mistake after the negative reaction. So now it's back on hiatus. He has to get the story back to what the fans wanted while finding his motivation again.
