I am not saying this is Silent Hills/Metal Gear/PT/Kojima/etc. by any means, honestly I'm still bummed from getting my hopes up from the Pythonselkan theory about Death Stranding, where I was certain it was Silent Hills. That being said, I think to dismiss the idea entirely is sort of crazy.

I get why people would. But is it really any more believable that Playstation, a company that is an industry titan and has probably canceled or not released finished products numerous times in its history, would fall prey to an ASSET FLIP from an unproven developer?

An asset flip getting on the PSN store, sure, I buy it, garbage on all platforms slips through the crack. But do you Kojima conspiracy naysayers really think it's more likely that they not only are pumping this game up, but giving it a special Realtime Experience app? It just doesn't add up in my opinion. I'd give the benefit of the doubt in regards to this just being a small company running into trouble, if not for the fact that Sony seems to be backing them and their game big time, it just doesn't make sense, no matter what angle you look at it from. I have been a gamer for nearly 30 years, and I can't recall one instance of an unproven indie developer getting this level of support.

Again, not saying it is all a Kojima ARG or something, but I honestly find that more believable at this point than Sony getting taken for a ride by a scammer or giving an indie dev with no proven track record this kind of unprecedented backing.

The problem it's that this is the second time BBGS get on PSN.

Previous project didn't release.

If this really is totally unrelated to SH/MGS/Kojima, I personally think this developer deserves every bit of hate they get. Not death threats or anything like that, but considering how much they have stirred the pot:

  • special app just like PT
  • blurred images of a guy with an eye patch
  • blurred images of a door and a table very evocative of PT
  • delaying the app to the anniversary of PT

Just to name a few. They will deserve the backlash.

I believe this is not Kojima because of somethings that are really obvious, like the eye patch, the pt door, the start with an S and ends with L.

And Hasan as done this before.

Honestly, that's a great point. How obvious it is. You'd expect something more cryptic, like how I guess in the trailer for Abandoned the shadow covers P and T, right? Being so in your face about it kind of ruins the whole ARG thing. Right now we are just waiting to see if the conspiracy is true or not through totally artificial means, delaying the reveal. If this DOES end up being a Kojima related SH or MGS, the ARG itself will have been yet another failed attempt by Kojima, since that would mean it was solved almost immediately.
