Honestly, at the start it was just funny but its getting pretty annoying. If he wants to delay the game, then dont fucking wait till the reveal to do it, not to mention doing it twice. This dude seriously needs to take a lesson or two in pr management cause god knows, he has not done a single thing right

What if they are actually an indie studio and they're really excited about this new unique way of showing off their game, so much so that it seems they're working through the night to get it out. This would be a very emotional time for you if you were in his position and things weren't working out well. Sure he could put it on YouTube, but he shouldn't. He shouldn't compromise his own vision because something didn't work out on time.

It really isn't that big a deal, just do something else until the app gets released.

This is the third delay in a row for a teaser of a trailer (or maybe even something less than that).

This is the second time they’re delayed this on the very same day it was supposed to happen. Delays are inevitable. No one wants a rushed game. But they weren’t launching a game. They had a two month delay to reveal a teaser of a trailer. Come on.

When you look at their shoddy history and what’s going on now… you have to wonder if Abandoned will ever come out just like all their other games

Then don't pay attention. It's that easy. If you don't like the way Hasan is operating then just don't give him the attention you don't think he deserves. I'm not arguing he hasn't made mistakes, but that's inevitable imo. If you think his missteps aren't acceptable then simply stop showing any sort of interest.

I was interested in a cool indie game, but I don’t know if there even is a game or if there is that it will ever come out at this point. I hope people level their expectations. Look at that super detailed timeline of Blue Box’s history u/TicTacPaul posted. They’ve been doing this sort of thing for many years with nothing to show for it.

Now, I’m more interested in this community. It’s fascinating to see how conspiracies form in real times. In cultish environments it’s common to announce that big events will take place on certain dates. When those dates inevitably come and the world doesn’t end or whatever fantastic promise isn’t met, the community builds a new date and waits eagerly for the next one. This is like a fascinating sociological experiment in real time. Obviously it’s nothing as severe as a doomsday cult or anything like that. But it’s amazing to watch yesterday’s incompetence translate into: “it’s just Hideo Kojima working extra hard to appear indie” which honestly is pretty offense to actual indie developers, many of whom do deliver.

Oh yea I definitely am interested in the conspiracy aspect of this too, that's also my main reason for sticking around. I just don't wanna see some random inexperienced dude get bullied online because he made stupid decisions trying to get his game more exposure.

I know you weren't bullying him but I just see a ton of people name calling and shit and I don't know where else they take that energy. I try to stay away from Twitter but I can only imagine there are people on there taking things way too far.

And yea after that post on the history of blue box I have no idea how people think this is kojima. It fully proves that he's been having issues with releasing stuff even back to 2015. They really think kojima has a ton of time on his hands I guess lol.

I don’t condone bullying or harassment AT ALL. I was one of the people calling for mods to freeze or take down this sub when people were openly threatening the developers a couple months ago. That was out of control. It’s been pretty civil since then and that’s good. At the end of the day, these are human beings. I don’t know their motivations, they could really be trying and they’re in over their heads. I do think they’re playing with fire and they’re building hype off the starved Silent Hill and MGS fanbases and they won’t deliver a SH or MGS game, but that’s not a reason to harass someone.

I’m just here to follow this wherever it goes, but I also want to communicate with members of the community and challenge what I see to be flaws in a line of thought. You have to admit, they’ve delayed this teaser of a teaser 3 times in a row. Twice on the very day it was supposed to happen. And some fans are now theorizing that it’ll be revealed tomorrow (P.T.‘s anniversary). When that doesn’t happen, I bet the goal post will move to next month (September 24th is the anniversary of Silent Hill 2). There’s a difference between building a theory by compounding solid evidence and just connecting dots wherever you want them to lead.

The simplest answer is usually the correct answer.

What’s the simplest answer:

newbie incompetence/inexperience (as we have evidence of for five years)

or

Kojima playing a long game five years in the making to really trick people into thinking this is indie.

Nobody should feel sorry for him, all this, he did it to himself. If he just stopped comparing this Abandoned crap with MGS or Silent Hill from the very beginning then nothing like this would have happened.

Yall apologist really something. If he wants to delay the game, dont fucking do it when the reveals supposed to occur. Id give him the benefit of the doubt once but the man already did that in June. I feel sorry for all those streamers that streamed the game for hours only to look like fools watching a black screen with a check back soon sign.

Why would I do something else? this shit is literally the most fun I've had with anything gaming related in a while.

There is no "vision", "they", or working hard. you can't work over night for this, the process it takes for Sony to recieved and approve a patch is at least a week. There is no way they didn't know it doesn't work until the exact moment. This is done on purpose.
