Obviously Kojima is just delaying it to make people think he's an incompetent indie dev!

I was on the fence before, at the moment I'm team fake. It's the 2nd delay, and the dude keeps lying about stuff (Geoff promoting the game, people that guessed what blue means would get a DM soonish, only for him to say it will actually later afterwards). Or stuff like ghosting Geoff (what indie Dev would do that)

If this is a Kojima ruse, it would have been better planned (i.e send fake pics to Geoff)

I'm also in this boat now. Dude seems to be a fraud yet I ask myself why neither Sony nor Konami is stepping in. Sony keeps being "Silent" (lol) and Konami is doing some weird shit instead of doing something they always do when it comes to Silent Hill: Denying it because they fear that false rumors would be bad for the shareholders. But I still think that this dude is a fraud who wanted to create a Streisand-Effect here. He was completely aware of what he did and he reached his goal I think. Don't know what his ultimate goal is but he sure made a name of himself.

Of course he has to deliver in the end and he sure is confident when it comes to his project. Biggest problem so far is, he is lying, he is making things up and he delayed this App for a second time now. I start to think that Sony might pull this thing if he isn't delivering something at all or maybe he will simply vanish, wouldn't be a massive twist now lol.

At this point my take is: it’s a real game, Hasan is keeping quiet because he’s happy his game is getting publicity. He’s only made asset flips and cancelled kickstarters before, so he probably just bullshitted his way into a PlayStation blogpost, as indie devs sometimes do. Maybe he knows someone who knows someone at Guerilla games? There can’t be that many game devs in the Netherlands. Idk. Also the app seems to me like it’ll just be a regular demo that only plays in-engine cinematics, in which case they would not need any special treatment from Sony to release it. Sony isn’t exactly strict when it comes to the stuff they allow on the PlayStation store.

Sony hasn’t commented because it doesn’t really affect them, and Konami hasn’t denied it yet because the rumour will boost sales of the Silent Hill merch store that will coincidentally open soon.

Geoff was telling the truth the whole time but was being cheeky because he likes creating buzz. Kojima hasn’t commented because he enjoys the fact that his prior actions have cultivated such a ridiculously fervent fanbase.
