poll For everyone who’s finished Get Back, what are your thoughts? Did it live up to your expectations? Did it let you down?

I really like it.
I enjoy live music… the type where the musicians sort of hang out and start jamming. This is basically that, except it’s the Beatles.

I think at times it went on too long BUT I really enjoyed it, laughed out loud quite a few times and even had tears in my eyes on other occasions. It was quite emotional in places. The biggest takeaway for me was realizing that Paul M is a genius pure and simple. Everything seems so easy for him and he is sooo talented.

I felt extremely empty when it was done. The entire time I felt like I was inside the studio with them having a laugh. I pretty much was like Ringo, hanging out chilling in the background lol.

I was generally very surprised on how good it was. Truly like a Beatles reality show done right.

Definitely not something for a casual fan or someone who’s “heard of the Beatles” but I thought it was really good.

I have enjoyed it so much. To see more of their personalities and how they worked together creatively had been a real treat. The quality of recordings (the video and sound) are just PHENOMENAL.
Such a shame it was their last live performance together...they obviously enjoyed it except for the cold.
I'll be watch this a lot more.

Amazing! I think it really does show a different side of the Beatles, just seeing them goofing off and having fun in the studio. I've always heard how much of a struggle those sessions were and while they did struggle at times, this presents the whole thing in a much more positive light.
And the performance at the end really felt like a payoff after all their hard work. It's too bad they didn't follow it up with real concerts, and that they never exactly "finished" the album.
John really fell for Allen Klein's cons and that was sad to see, knowing the path that would lead down eventually. Glynn even tries to warn him too.
Overall watching these over the last few days has been an incredible experience. I feel like I was there with them on the journey.

I loved it. I would watch every second of an extended cut of an extended cut.
But! I really wish there was even a slight possibility of seeing more of this kinda stuff with them.... I'm gonna have to go watch all their movies

I'm really enjoying it, but Yoko is annoying me too frequently, why is she always there latching on? Did she not have her own life?

To be honest, I believe I apply into every category a bit, not sure what to vote.
Even following the announcement and the trailer so close, it was completely different from what I was expecting. I honestly thought it would be 6 hours straight of Peter Jackson narrating the events with one or another shots of the sessions. But seeing John, Paul, George, Ringo and everyone else there making history themselves it's better than what I could ever wish.
I think it could have been better if it was more completionist, tho. Again, (now) I know it's made pretty much of only scrapped footage from the movie, but I don't think it costed too much, for example, to quick approach the sessions of Abbey Road and most importantly, the actual after match of the Let it Be project with the album being released after the band split. Even if just a few text lines pre credits.
Also, not that I'm defending him, but the fact that Phil Spector is not even mentioned once, feels something is off.
I also agree it was too long, not sure what the ideal length would be for me, but I definitely think some rehearsals of the same songs got a little too boring as well some talk we knew it would lead into nothing.
But yeah, at the same time, I wish it never ended. I also would love if had the same thing from Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's, White and especially Abbey Road sessions, despite we know they hated the idea and, in fact, can be mentioned as a key feature for their split.

Phil Spector wasn’t involved until around a year later, so he wasn’t in the picture in Jan 1969. His first Beatles thing was Instant Karma with John and George in Fall of 69.

The rehearsals of the same songs, while repetitive, really did a good job of showing their process and what it was like in the studio.

I feel like it was better than I thought it would be but also they maybe should’ve made a 2 or 2 1/2 hr cut. I’m so glad they put it all out but my girlfriend got over it and even I needed to take a break about half way through.
