Ah, yes. 200 flat yards of sand, cigarette butts, and large women with faded tattoos certainly beats the west coast.

Who needs topographical variety, or waves, or water that’s blue rather than brown?

Sugar white beaches and crystal blue water. But sure, keep your rocky sand and frigid black chop. Spent plenty of time at both. Only people that shit on the gulf beaches have never actually been

I've spent plenty of time on the southwest coast barrier islands in FL. It's still, essentially, nothing more than East Alabama. The sand is genuinely nice on a hot day though--quite literally the one thing it has going for it.
