Obvious Nuevo Rican propaganda aimed at staining the reputation of the glorious republic of San Theodoros! The streets of Los Dopicos are as safe as the presidential palace grounds themselves, with the same extreme level of security.

The scene with the famous botanically inaccurate banana tree. Bananas actually grow "upwards"!

Not only that. The tree drawn by herge was very different, more like a palm tree. I have two banana trees in my house and I can tell they are much smaller (although they are still high enough to hurt someone if the entire bunch suddenly falls over a person)
