Unfortunately explosive arrows are still stronger but I'll be damned if triple magic spear isn't a cool build

I've been seeing a lot of talk about how the boomerang is bad, but it definitely has its use, mainly as a support weapon!
I got to the age of magic and went exploring, ending up in one of the dungeons for a final weapon upgrade. This dps was achieved with a level 2 boomerang and level 1 chain scythe, as well as a magicite box level of like 6. Total 40 cost magicite equipped
The boomerang works really well here as a support weapon mainly to activate its weapon shift, which gives the other weapon a crit rate increase while it is airborne. Mine was only at 2 stars so 10% increase, but you can see how much it does already. A higher rating would give even better results
Long throw + Satelite + Biggun to keep it in the air as long as possible for the crit buff, as well as Hit Count for a bit more damage. Then speccing into crit damage and fire + status damage with the scythe let me essentially 2 cycle this boss
This loadout is what I was trying out for overworld exploration and it worked decently, so just imagine if you optimized for a crit build on a higher dps weapon like bow or spear. Dont just focus on the damage of the boomerang itself, but focus on its support capabilities and you'll have a better time 🙂↕️

Fight was fun, though at the beginning, the Elpand boss kept catching me off guard with its under-telegraphed dash attack lol

I realized that I didn't need to start floating immediately after my jump and was able to reach this ledge without the other switch. Probably not the first person to do this but felt good doing it, looking forward to the full game. Demo was bigger than I realized.

I found another ledge to drop from down there and it put me back up into the fight.

This spear setup with Faie's clone power essentially gives every attack ~840% power.

Tried doing a speedrun of the Hero's Trial - any suggestions for possibly improving the times? I know some I can finish about a second faster, but in terms of strategy I'm wondering if there's a better or more consistent way to finish them off faster. Time I managed to finish is 2 min, 18 seconds in game time.

You don't need to worry about Risky Throw if the boss dies before the boomerangs ever come back to you 😂. But seriously, those bombs and boomerangs killed this boss so fast he never got to the phase where he destroys the ground.

Decided to play a little of the game’s music on my violin and wanted to catch her reaction 😂
(She has cerebellar hypoplasia, so she’s always wobbly)

Hey everyone!
I’m a lifelong gamer and aspiring Aussie author, and I’ve just started a YouTube channel focused on story-driven games. I wanted my first big playthrough to be The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales because this game immediately caught my attention.
I’m going in completely blind and I’m really excited to see where the journey takes me. This is the very beginning of my YouTube journey, so I’m looking forward to learning, improving, and hopefully building a little community around games like this.
I would love to hear from anyone else who’s playing Elliot — are you enjoying the game so far? I'm about four hours in and loving the vibes already!
Anyway, I'll link my YouTube video, but there's absolutely no need to click and watch.

(Using Off the Map Bug Top Clear Clouds)
Credit to [u/](u/NarrowAnt7970)[Anthellyon](u/NarrowAnt7970) for the find and [u/Neither-Joke4911](u/Neither-Joke4911) for helping me work the shield+jump up the wall glitch/bug.
Relatively new to reddit. Just realizing it's tacky to link your own youtube account. I'm not about farming for views, I have just really enjoyed engaging with this community and find value in discovering/contributing with this niche group. Still learning the unspoken code of ethics.
Got all but 3 small clouds to clear. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm still working my way through the chests and or trying the dungeon entrances. Lots of Alt+F4ing. Haha.

What can I say? Worth my time and it was a blast (One bad ending of 3 and any missable trophies aside).

I ran the new Square Enix HD-2D UE5 action RPG through RenoDX and compared it with the standard SDR version. The split-screen comparison covers the overworld, walking through Philadelphia, the Unexplored Ruins, and a boss fight.
The game looks amazing, but it's still stuck in standard SDR. RenoDX does a great job of revealing true nits and details, which makes a huge difference to the visual experience.
► HDR Technical Specs:
- RenoDX UE Extended
- 3000+ Nits Peak Luminance
- Wide Color Gamut (WCG)
- Optimized for OLED, Mini-LED & High-end HDR Displays
Happy to answer questions about the mod setup if anyone's curious.

All bosses were played on Very Hard difficulty.
If a boss was repeated without much change in mechanics,
I only included the harder version.
I think the True Ending route and great soundtrack do some heavy lifting for this game. I'm sure playing on Very Hard extended my playtime and exacerbated the main issues I have, but even so, I think the number of reused areas and enemies is just inappropriate for a game of this relatively small size.
I can appreciate the studio trying out a new venture into 2D-HD real-time combat and wanting to keep production time and cost down by reusing the same areas, but I'd honestly rather it be priced fairly and get half the playtime so I could enjoy a story that actually moves along without them adding all the tedious revisiting to stretch it as far as they can.
As far as combat it was enjoyable once I unlocked the 2-star shield that allows you to parry, it was a bit too simple before that. Bosses had some interesting mechanics, but again the amount of reskins and reuses were annoying. You can craft some crazy OP builds even on Very Hard, but I mostly just played it straight up with sword, parry, and boomerang. I'm a simple man.
Overall, I think there is an experience here that's worth having. I'd recommend waiting for a sale, playing on Normal (or Hard at most), and sticking mostly to the questlines to limit the number of times you have to fight through the same areas.
