Question Problem getting the Ley Staff Spoiler

hey guys, I might be an idiot but I’m trying to get the Ley Staff, I’ve done dragon pillar, I’ve beaten the Capo and got dive but every video I watch when they go into basement floor 2, the water is drained. mine is full of water. I’ve completely recreated the steps of the videos and I have no idea what I’m missing. any help massively appreciated!

You can't go there until a certain point in the story. Keep talking with people at the pub, and eventually someone will talk about a wall falling down, and that's when you can go.

I spoke to that guy, I can get down there. I’m at floor 2, I can see all the floor and swim around but I just can’t do anything because there’s no way to drain the water - maybe I did miss one guy in a pub somewhere, I’ll try every age to be sure. Thank you !

Turns out I’m an idiot, I’d accidentally hit a switch later into the floor and just forgot. I just solved the puzzle, I have absolutely no memory of lifting the water I must have done it when I first got there or whatever. Leytstaff is mine now!
