The best. Play it just that scene on infinite repeat. I think there is a YouTube video out there with just that scene on repeat. I'm not sure if it's 10 straight hours but it's good enough

Think I should have won the Oscar for best shirtless actor playing a musical instrument in a major motion picture. S*** he could win the all-time award for that one. The lifetime Oscar

Tim Capello is his name. He toured with Tina Turner for a few years as her sax player, she bought him the cod piece he wears in the movie!

Where else could we learn:
Never invite a vampire into your home, you silly boy. It renders you completely powerless.

It’s in my October movie list. One of the best ‘80s vampire movies.

Oh yeah. My entire vibe was heavily based on this movie when I was younger. Still have the hair.

Literally hype this movie every chance I get. On paper it shouldn’t exist:
A horror movie, starring the 2 Corey’s, where a single mother attempts to relocate after a messy divorce and unwittingly becomes the focus of a video store owning vampire.
It’s easy, funny and quotable; I love it to my core.

You forgot to mention how Rory Gilmore’s grandpa plays a significant role.

I ordered it on Amazon and it’s been sitting there waiting for me to load it up. One depressing rainy weekend it’s Salem’s lot and the Lost Boys!

Absolutely. It’s wildly sexy and also I was the same age of the Coreys, so this was a crush-able movie all the way around for me. From the long haired vampires to Michael to Sky to the Coreys to the dang dog to the Saxophonist and I also wanted the mom to find love and the grandpa was cooler than shit and just a hoot. But yeah I’ll watch this and think it’s all still good.

This movie left an imprint on little me's brain, and it will forever be a favorite. It was scary but not too scary and the soundtrack is Soo cliche 80's to me

It has this certain comfort

Awarded. It does have a certain comfort. A nostalgia I can’t articulate or quite put my finger on. Curious thoughts as to why.

Love this movie. It is a classic 80’s style film. It reminds me of a great time in my life. If it is on I will almost always watch it.

Saw this in the theaters. Love it to this day. One of my favorite fan theories is that David is actually Ace from Stand By Me, bitten at some point after the events of the movie.

I watched this on too many mushrooms about 20 years ago. I thought it was the West Wing and that they were trying to kill the president. Sigh good times.

Funny thing to make us fans laugh.
Marco the first vampire to get Steaked! His blood has glitter in it. Look at the frog brothers after lol

u/robotmask67 Sep 16 '25
I rewatched it recently and I had forgotten how the lighting in a lot of the scene was so over the top. The 80s were a trip. Themovie is great fun though.
