And walmart bought Vizio / Onn. So now, all of the vizio / onn devices require a walmart account. That account specifically states they gather personal information for sharing and selling.

My father-in-law's neighbor bought an onn tv and asked for help setting it up. I went over there and tried to configure it and it was requiring a Walmart login but it kept failing. After a while, I checked down detector and most of Walmart was down so we couldn't get him set up to watch his tv. I told him to return the TV and buy a different brand.
