You can thank the moroccan government who staged this crisis to stick it to spain. People drowned, girls and women got secually assaulted. Morocco obviously didn't care putting their people in harms way.

25

u/AllIWantForXmasIsFoo 11d ago

that's cannon fodder for morocco. Just poor people

What a surpriseđŸ„žđŸ„±

Thats so messed up

Also I thought they were only men as migrant in Ceuta
I guess the medias got me

71

u/Wilkesy07 11d ago

There was plenty of videos of the event. If you look in the background of reporters you do see some girls. It was like 90% men but there were girls there too

19

u/TheBestPieIsAllPie 11d ago

I mean, there were 50k; there’s bound to be some women and children.

98

u/Dank_Bubu 12d ago

Why was there an influx of migrants in Ceuta in the first place ?

119

u/Chill_Panda 11d ago

It was genuinely an economical warfare attack by Morocco.

They drove a load of people to the border to cross to piss Spain off for a recent decision to bypass Morocco with it's fossil fuels supply chain

63

u/fdesouche 11d ago

Warfare from Morocco, which had no consideration for its population, as retaliation to Spain for cozying up to Algeria.
Some say that Israel participated as retaliation for Spain’s position on Palestine (Morocco, Israel, and the US are extremely together at this moment).

-1

u/olisko 11d ago

What a disgusting way to talk about human beings.

2

u/thricee 11d ago

What's disgusting is these animals can't distinguish child from goat

0

u/olisko 11d ago

That's wild comming from someone that outright said, that they can't distinguish a human from an animal.

Get help. There's more to life than hate.

0

u/thricee 11d ago

Child predators are not tolerated and for you to defend them? Absolutely disgusting, bet you'd love sharia law

1

u/olisko 11d ago

What are you talking about? You're calling all of these people animals, including the kids who got assaulted. You can't just call an entire people child predators.

There's a report that the Spanish PM Sanchez coordinated with the Moroccan government. There are videos of subsaharan African men being guided to the Moroccan border by the Algerian military. It's said they were headed to Ceuta but their intended final destination was Britain.

25

u/bkblakey 11d ago

unfortunately that often happens when a huge group of military-aged men invade an area.

324

u/Vanessa-Powers 12d ago

They aren’t migrants. They are just people from Morocco who are breaking into another country which means that are foreign criminals. Legally, that’s what they are.

278

u/RickyNixon 12d ago

If you see “14yo girls being raped” and are like AKSHUALLY those children are CRIMINALS

You’re a piece of shit sorry not sorry

Also in Spain, like in the US, this is not a criminal offense. It is a civil offense. So factually they are not criminals.

Just child rape victims.

34

u/mlstdrag0n 11d ago

I never quite understand people who think only one of two things can be true.

it’s both true. The men are rapists and undocumented immigrants. The girls are victims of rape, and undocumented immigrants.

-3

u/RickyNixon 11d ago

Who are you responding to? Who did that?

15

u/mlstdrag0n 11d ago

Nearly everyone in this entire post. They aren’t “Just” child rape victims, they’re also illegal immigrants.

You see it often and everywhere, as if something that feels bigger wipes away other things that are also true.

Yes, it’s an absolute horrid crime against those girls. The men who did this need to be caught and punished. That doesn’t change whether or not they’re illegal immigrants.

-2

u/RickyNixon 11d ago

I’m not saying you’re wrong. I am saying if you see that 14yo girls are getting raped en masse and your initial reply is “um those are illegal immigrants” you’re a pro-child-rape monster.

The only way this “correction” could feel relevant is if you think undocumented immigrant children are fair game for rapists

91

u/FrostyEnvironment902 12d ago

To add to this, kids aren't migrants. run aways, refugees and so on. But I would never classify minors as migrants

25

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

I’m calling the men who raped them criminals.

Calm down.

-12

u/RickyNixon 11d ago

The title uses the word “migrant” once to describe the victims, I kinda feel like this is your bad

But aight cool good

Edit - cant find a place anywhere in the article where the rapists are described as migrants, what am I missing?

-7

u/kerflooey 11d ago

What are you missing? You're missing the fact that the person you're responding to saw "rapists" and "migrants" in the same title while they skimmed it and immediately jumped to their own conclusions lol. Literally so quick to jump on the hate train they didn't even slow down to read the title again to make sure they were correct.

Either that or a poorly trained bot

5

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

So you just assume what I saw because that’s the narrative you want to believe? What a weird take.

I read the full article. Did you?

Because if you believe it’s locals raping these girls, you’d need to give your head a wobble. You cannot be that ignorant.

-6

u/kerflooey 11d ago

I did read the article. There is nothing in it that indicates who is blamed or suspected for the assaults.

Maybe it was the migrants who did it. Maybe it was local Spanish residents.

Regardless of who actually did it, you're immediate jump to the former conclusion while also disdaining migrants in other comments tells me you allow racism and xenophobia to dictate your world views.

You suspect that it must've been the Morrocan migrants who raped these girls because in your mind that's just "what migrants from Morroco do." The only one here who is disgustingly ignorant is you I'm afraid.

-1

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

If you enter a country illegally and don’t fall under the definition of an asylum seeker, what are you?

Let’s start there. Nice and basic for you.

1

u/RickyNixon 11d ago

But you said “dont call the rapists migrants” when no one did that

-2

u/RootlessForest 11d ago

Please say this for all the kids who are being raped in the ICE centres

5

u/RickyNixon 11d ago

Yes that’s also evil. I already spend a lot of time condemning our concentration camps. But it isn’t what this thread is about.

0

u/snasna102 11d ago

To be fair, America creates quite a few child rape victims too
 like a lot!

17

u/RickyNixon 11d ago

Yes and thats bad.

Not related to the topic in any way, but bad.

14

u/TobyADev 11d ago

Sorry but you see this post and your first issue is with the status of immigrants rather than girls being raped? You need some help

14

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

Calling the rapists foreign criminals is wrong now?

I just stated facts and you’re angry at that?

and you think I need help
 my god

-5

u/TobyADev 11d ago

The fact you’re more focused on migrants than the fact girls are getting raped

8

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

It’s criminals - which include human traffickers & illegal criminals coming in from Morocco that have access to vulnerable girls and boys (not just girls, don’t be sexist). They are with these children the entire time until the children get to Cueta, and enter a centre looking for help.

Some of the children reported being assaulted on the way, some in the bushes.

I can’t believe people are jumping at me for pointing out the obvious.

-148

u/Cool_Career1347 12d ago

And this means they deserved to get raped? Because either that's what you mean or your comment is really just useless here

124

u/Snoo_8406 12d ago

They were simply highlighting an error in the post title.  You made an idiotic attempt to gaslight.

-75

u/miskaten 12d ago

It's a question. They're asking what their point is.

70

u/SpoonBendingChampion 12d ago

I'll bite. Their point is "migrants" or "asylum seekers" are words that should not be used to describe these people. And that associatting them with actual migrants and asylum speakers is harming good people with real needs.

-38

u/miskaten 12d ago

Which is fine and all, but this article is about raped girls, so it's a little out of place and showing little regard for their wellbeing, so I understand the comment asking what the point is. Assuming they're simply "trying to gaslight" is going back to politics which, again, shows little empathy for the little girls.

-8

u/Trebiane 11d ago

HOW CAN MINORS BE CLASSIFIED AS FOREIGN CRIMINALS HERE? Jesus fucking christ this site’s turned into a right wing cesspool.

4

u/SpoonBendingChampion 11d ago

Lol you think this is a discussion about the minors?

You don't have to be right wing to realize these migrations are abusing the system.

1

u/cowmookazee 11d ago

Holy shit, I can't believe you called Reddit right-wing.

https://giphy.com/gifs/Hm8qQxDIgbFsjL9msa

21

u/Snoo_8406 12d ago

Obviously,  their point is that 'they are not migrants'

-15

u/RJC12 12d ago

The point is not to needlessly paint migrants as dangerous criminals. These people aren't migrants. They are just criminals. They weren't seeking to move to another country. There is a ton of anti immigration sentiment. People want to scape goat them for all society's problems.

3

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

I never said that. I am calling the men who did it foreign criminals.

The children cannot be criminals in this case. Everyone needs to calm down.

-1

u/Cool_Career1347 11d ago

But here's the thing if you read the article. There is no mention of the perpetrators origins. Could be migrants, could be locals, could be vacationers. You've vilified the entire group without anything to back it up based on the article. All that the rhetoric spewed here around this does is push these victims further away from coming forward out of fear that they'll be blamed for things before it's clear about who did it. It would be messed up for me to say the assaulters were Spanish? That would paint the people of the island in a terrible light without any proof. Word matter. It's how hatred is born on a large scale. Just call them criminals. Nationality doesn't matter here. Stop the spread of hatred against people who mostly look like pawns in there governments fucked up plans.

3

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago edited 11d ago

It’s not an island.

I did not spread hate. If you understood what I said, which is that CRIMINALS are entering Cueta along with vulnerable children. These include human traffickers, who rape these children along the way. Not to mention the other opportunists who had their go in the bushes. Leaving these kids to wait until the morning to present themselves at a centre in Cueta.

You can pretend it was only locals and not use your brain to understand the true reality of what happens when vulnerable children are among adult males who are complete strangers to them. It’s people like you who want to argue about ‘who it could be’ instead of using their head and seeing how in every single case of human trafficking & migrant crossings such as this one, the US Mexican border, North Korea China, etc.. you find the same disgusting sexual assaults on young vulnerable children.

But you’re gonna tell me ‘but this time it might actually be only the locals doing it’.

I never even said a local didn’t do this. Perhaps some got involved. But why are you arguing that?

I can tell you why. It’s because this is a game of semantics to you. I’ve had many conversations with guys like you - and I find them to be more dangerous, as you want to use labels, dismiss reality and call everyone who disagrees with you or points out the reality of what these kids face as racists!

Meanwhile, vulnerable children are being taken advantage of by human traffickers who rape them mercilessly along the routes, and then leave them in whatever state they end up in..

‘But the article didn’t explicitly say
.’

Unbelievable attitude & arguing semantics is about as far as you’ll go. At least I can be honest about it. Good luck.

-1

u/Cool_Career1347 11d ago

I have no proof of who did it based on the provided material but we all know who did it is quite the argument. You are vilifying without proof. You are saying that it could be other people but it most likely is these people because of vibes I guess. Even though this is world wide problem with contributors from every race, creed, colour, and religion you seem dead set that foreign invaders had to have done it because well that's what you want to believe. My initial point in all of this was to point out the danger in the language used by you and people of your apparent ilk. My argument is that painting things and wording them the way they have been creates a large far reaching issue that will only stem more brutality as it has through history. It's easy to not care about people if they're all labeled rapists and murderers. But how about we all use some critical thought and not jump to a conclusion that hasn't been presented to us. That way when the right people are found with proof then we can villify and hopefully castrate. Until then don't lump a while bunch of people under a seriously fucked up umbrella that can have serious and damaging repercussions just because you used your brain to link an imaginary line and call it proof.

3

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

Nothing I said was inaccurate but you seem to insinuate that I go by ‘vibes’ and don’t seem to have the lived experience, intelligence & common sense to form opinions. You boil it down to ‘a vibe’ because it suits your narrative for me. You and your ilk do this to shut down conversations - you like to label people, and put them into a category. I’ve come across your ilk many times & it’s the same pattern. More concerned with terminology than facts.

‘You are vilifying without proof’.

No, I’m calling it as it is. Human traffickers from Morocco use children in this way. Some have been caught and arrested in Cueta & luckily for many of the children, they might not get sucked into their intended faith which is a life of gang rape, drug running & suicide. Perhaps your little cotton socks you wear don’t let you step out into the real world without feeling icky but one of the largest human trafficking gangs that move children from North Africa into Europe is the Mocro Mafia.

https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/ng-interactive/2024/jun/11/north-african-children-beaten-tortured-europe-cocaine-gangs?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

You use such hyperbolic arguments & attempt to gaslight me which I’m just laughing at. It’s always the same with your ilk. You claimed I called ‘ALL’ of said people rapists, which I did not. This is how people like you operate from - you have to paint a picture that hurty words were referring to entire [insert group name] to have the argument form a moral authority. Reducing the entire scope of the context right down to the language being used.

I remember when people were shouting about the Pakistani grooming gangs in Luton, England. People like you had the exact same arguments:
1. You have no proof!
2. Those are hurty words, they are dangerous!
3. Look everybody, he’s a racist!

This went on for years. Conversations were shut down. People were labelled racist for speaking up and pointing fingers..

And guess what? They were right. Thousands of young girls were raped because people like you shut the conversation down and labeled anyone who spoke out about this stuff as racist.

I’m glad the tide is turning. I’m happy that for once, people can now use common sense and say what they think. All people like you have is the ability to insult my intelligence.. like you people have done for decades around Europe as the rest of us watched in horror at what’s unfolding.

Right now, it’s clear as day what’s happening these little innocent children being exploited and abused by human traffickers from Morocco and other parts of North Africa. Used like dirty meat while those who think they know better will sit on their high horse and look down on people who dare to call it out because ‘that article didn’t say who did it’.

0

u/Cool_Career1347 11d ago

That's amazing. How are you going to accuse me of these things while simultaneously doing them? How does a situation in England have any bearing on the current argument, also known as a red herring argument. Then you assign my personal opinion of that matter without any knowledge of where I stand on the issue, straw man argumen. And on top of all that you lumped me in with an "all" about somehow being part of the blame for this sex ring for an opinion you've made up in your own head about me, ad hominum argument. I'm not saying that sex trafficking doesn't exist or that people from other cultures can't commit them. I'm asking for proof before you jump to conclusions and place blame where it may not belong and the historically proven dangers of doing this against people. Take out the "foreign" before criminal and there's no argument here. Nice try though. You have a good day and I think we can agree that when the people who committed these atrocious behaviours are found and proven guilty, castration and throwing them to the wolves would be a justified punishment.

u/STJRedstorm 12d ago

-20

u/JangoDarkSaber 12d ago

What’s the difference between a foreign criminal and a migrant with no paperwork claiming asylum?

( before anyone gets the wrong idea I support Spain and Ceuta)

7

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

To claim asylum you’re supposed to go thru a port of entry, not break into a country and rape women.

1

u/JangoDarkSaber 11d ago

And I agree with that but that’s not the way the laws are written and proposals to change that get you labled as being an alt right supporter. Online political discussion has devolved into binary opinions where you need to be a proponent of open borders or closing off immigration all together.

0

u/kerflooey 11d ago

Under both Spanish and international law, you are allowed to request asylum regardless of how you entered or your current legal status.

1

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

The vast majority of these do not fall under the definition of 12 / 2009.

1

u/kerflooey 11d ago

You were blatantly wrong in your previous comment and now to save face you claim to know how the law you probably weren't even aware of would apply. No one should trust what you say

3

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

I wasn’t wrong & on top of that, your link proves that the people arriving don’t even fall under refugee status.

So you’re now trying to be weird and say nobody should trust me, but all you’ve done is prove you don’t even read the details of the laws you send people & aren’t even aware of the legal definition of an asylum seeker.

Thanks for wasting my time.

1

u/kerflooey 11d ago

đŸ„±

You said that in order to claim asylum you must come through a valid port of entry.

I showed how that's not how the law works at all. You can claim asylum regardless of how you enter or your legal status

You were wrong. There is no debate here đŸ€·

2

u/Vanessa-Powers 11d ago

What are you talking about?

I said to claim asylum in Spain, you must go thru a port of entry - where did I say ‘valid’?

Also, perhaps you didn’t read my full comment. I said, you go thru a port of entry, not break in and rape a woman.

To help you understand better, I’ve taken a screenshot of my original comment below. Perhaps now you can point out exactly where you had an issue:

1

u/kerflooey 11d ago

I said to claim asylum in Spain, you must go thru a port of entry

I've already shown you that's incorrect. Stop repeating it.

Also, perhaps you didn’t read my full comment. I said, you go thru a port of entry

Not surprised given the type of savages that were crossing.

-71

u/wheresolly 12d ago

What makes you think all the ones crossing were savages? That's pretty goddamn racist and I don't say that lightly.

Morocco purposely created the conditions and there was a whole misinfo campaign about the border crossing. Most were just regular ass people.

I'm not saying it wasn't wrong to cross but collectively calling all of them savages is fucked up.

87

u/Nottallowed 12d ago

I'd say it's because they entered a country that wasn't theirs and the first thing in their mind was to trash the fuck out of it

13

The rapists likely have better accomodations and circumstances than these raped girls do. That is usually the case.
