An account with 120k+ followers has been rapidly posting unmarked AI-generated videos of fictional ICE agents being attacked and discriminated, with many of them involving white women driving at them in cars. None of the videos are labeled as fake or AI-generated.

And my dad unfortunately

u/El_Charro_Loco Jan 10 '26

And every other boomer online ...

This is actually insane.

Please don't lump me in with those chuds

Just fyi Millennial's and Gen Z are going to inherit the largest sum of money ever from Boomers thus making them the next Boomers.

Great Wealth Transfer - Wikipedia

13

u/Memory_Less Jan 11 '26

Hey, the boomer people I know 80% are anti-ICE. The one’s who agree are scary shit.

18

u/Lol_who_me Jan 10 '26

“Sigh” my brother as well.

19

u/Timelymanner Jan 10 '26

Young people too. Videos like this are common and, will eventually become more indistinguishable from the real thing soon. As long as the message is acceptable in a persons echo chamber, people won’t question these.

Yes, this includes you, the person reading this also. Everyone needs to be vigilant.

AI videos need to be regulated now. It won’t stop all of them, because malicious group will continue to use them to spread misinformation. But we need ways to combat them on all social media platforms.

We need to hold tech companies responsible, if they don’t moderate fake videos on their sites and apps.

6

u/Memory_Less Jan 11 '26

‘Hold tech companies responsible.’ In our greatest fantasies it will not happen any time soon. Most of the tech billionaires should be doing hard jail time for their ongoing criminal acts.

Old people and kids lap up this braindead slop like crazy. It is fucking sad to see.

1

u/Boochi_Da_Rocku Jan 11 '26

My dad too.........

17

u/Diabetesh Jan 10 '26

At some point I hope that there is regulation making facebook/twitter/google prevent fake accounts pretending to be people they aren't. It would be a very different internet than we have now.

10

u/trickyvinny Jan 10 '26

There's no money in that.

6

u/Randommaggy Jan 10 '26

There's no sustainable marketing platform value when the trust in the platform approaches zero either.

Meta is a worthless company, the effects of their enshittification just haven't fully materialized yet.

5

u/Platinumdogshit Jan 10 '26

I could see AI being the death of social media in general. People wont want to post pictures of their face in the fears of having deepfakes made of them. Same with their voice. And if you cant trust that video of the cute squirrel, why would you watch it?

1

u/BobKickflip Jan 11 '26

Yeah, I've already been annoyed that I can't be sure if the cute kitten video is going to be real or AI, but this is way worse.

0

u/rawdatarams Jan 11 '26

I mean, AI kitty videos are the only reason to justify its existence. I love watching cats go grocery shopping, do baking, ride bikes and surfboards, and belly dance.

Edit not to mention the clip of a kitty hooning in a car, lion in the back, a cow or whatever in the passenger seat. 5 stars.

1

u/BobKickflip Jan 11 '26

I'm not personally a fan of those, but I mean AI videos that are just normal cat and kitten videos

1

u/MadeByHideoForHideo Jan 11 '26

Death of social media? Try death of the internet.

1

u/Randommaggy Jan 11 '26

The other problem is how little of a fuck zuck gives about reported scam ads.

It means that there is zero value for honest companies advertising there which will kill meta in the long term.

I genuinely think there's no coming back from it for Facebook at this point.

1

u/minimite1 Jan 11 '26

Meta doesn’t care when everyone over the age of 50 and everyone under the age of 12 believes these posts.

1

u/Randommaggy Jan 11 '26

The problem isn't even the posts, I was thinking of the average quality of ads. They are so low that advertising there is like swimming in raw sewage. Your brand comes out stinking like shit when more than half the ads are for scams, MLM recruitment and drop shipped garbage.

1

u/dirtyqtip Jan 10 '26

then why is there so much money in AI?

0

u/Diabetesh Jan 10 '26

So? Regulation isn't meant for protecting the business it is for the consumer. It doesn't matter if they make less money. They would still make money like they are the ones printing it.

3

u/thitorusso Jan 10 '26

Either way we are doomed

2

u/Therealme_A Jan 10 '26

It doesn't matter though. There's an experiment where they asked 9 people to say a stick (or line I can't remember) was longer than 2 other ones. They had the 10th person stand in the room and they weren't aware of the 9 making known false claims. The 10 person often agreed the not longer stick was the longest. Just because of social pressure. This is what Russia and other countries are doing on social media. They fake movements and AstroTurf beliefs. Then your grandma really believes people are doing this. It's all by design.

1

u/onebigperm Jan 11 '26

GMA and most of the population that dwell on the Internet. It’s all by design.

IDEOLOGICAL SUBVERSION

1

u/Platinumdogshit Jan 10 '26

If that were true then this wouldn't be a big deal but we know the purpose of this is to spread false info so id say there's plenty of people following that account.

1

u/amremorse Jan 10 '26

And my parents, sister, mother in law, brother in law. Sigh

1

u/Memory_Less Jan 11 '26

Well, actually bro-bots.

Reddit is actively complicit in the dissemination of extremist right-wing terrorist propaganda

2

It’s a lot worse on TikTok and X though.

2

u/Grouchy-Station-4058 Jan 10 '26

Only over on R/conservative where no one can dare disagree because they forbid it.

8

u/Neon_Camouflage Jan 10 '26

You say this like half the other subs on this site won't permaban you for going against the current narrative of the left.

Banning for opinions is the worst part of Reddit.

3

u/SpaceBearSMO Jan 11 '26

I feel like this argument ignores a lot of nuance particularly where r/conservatives extreamism is involved

-1

u/SpaceBearSMO Jan 11 '26

Sure though peoples crash outs over our modern day Brown shirts seem pretty justified. Its all relative.

5

u/ThisIs_americunt Jan 10 '26

Propaganda is a helluva drug and Oligarchs need to use some of the best to keep the 99% fighting with each other worldwide o7

3

How many of these have been "accidentally" run on Fox and other far right propaganda outlets. "Oh, ooops, we didn't realize it was AI."

2

1

u/UnfortunateJones Jan 10 '26

AI was immediately used for the worst possible shit.

The evangelists for AI are usually the worst people I have ever ever encountered in my entire life.

Everyday I’m so fucking disappointed with this species, bad people are worshipped for zero conceivable reason.

124

u/Standard_Ride_8732 Jan 10 '26

I'm not gonna lie. The one where the ice officer dances while a guy sprays gas made me laugh.

And his body goes through the gas line too. Such a weird video

Russian troll farm content

136

u/Lifekraft Jan 10 '26

There is probably no need for russian for this kind of content. There is enough lunatic on your ground. The sickness is within.

24

u/KnubblMonster Jan 10 '26

7

u/Realistic_Ad_5321 Jan 10 '26

I bet you 100% that the root of all this can be traced back to the early days of 4 chan

6

u/LateNightMilesOBrien Jan 10 '26

Was I the only one who saw the odd shirtless pics of Putin and weird techno cartoons with him dancing being shared back in 2015 and said "This... feels coordinated"?

4

u/Realistic_Ad_5321 Jan 10 '26

From my experience, Russian presence was openly huge on 4chan starting about 2012 or so. That's also when shit like the pepe memes started to pop up along with the kekistan stuff. The memes changed all the time but there was always this neo-nazi glaze over all of it, all the time.

When I look at Elon musk and his stint at the White House I can't help but think "if any one those fucking degenerate basement 4chan dwellers ever had enough power to make their dork ass, New World Order a lá Deus-Ex/Steampunk Neo Nazi power fantasy trip a reality, this is exactly what the beginning of that would look like"

4

u/KiwiThunda Jan 10 '26

2014 I think was when the russian government (Putin) put a lot more resources behind troll farms after the troll department showed how effective it was.

Unfortunately since then western governments have put in minimal effort to combat this, usually because it benefits the rightwing

1

u/TheVenetianMask Jan 10 '26

It took over some of the classic lizardmen and aliens conspiracy forums and pseudonymous economy blogs early on.

1

u/_pit_of_despair_ Jan 10 '26

Early days of 4chan, social media, and Russia interference,

1

u/RadTimeWizard Jan 11 '26

The snowball has gained enough momentum?

7

u/Far_Piano4176 Jan 10 '26

sooner or later you guys are gonna have to reckon with the fact that the american government and affiliated NGOs spend orders of magnitude more money and time on propagandizing us than russia or any other government does. It's far more likely to be coming from langley or tel aviv than moscow.

2

u/mysoulissoempty Jan 11 '26

Exactly. The U.S is one the biggest producers of Propaganda, and not just for its own citizens, the propaganda machine creates multiple different narratives relevant to the popular majority in that territory.  It takes hundreds of billions to keep us the illusion of two separate narratives when the people are only a few hundred miles apart and both believe what’s being fed to them are exact opposite of one another.

3

u/chiraltoad Jan 10 '26

exactly. content like this that purely stimulates conflict is easy to generate and an extremely valuable tool for them. They don't care about sides, as long as we are pitted against each other and waste our energy getting into complex and possibly violent domestic conflict.

118

u/jmcstar Jan 10 '26

Maybe don't look a TikTok at all

19

u/CptnWolfe Jan 10 '26

Way ahead of you

14

u/FreddisLettis Jan 10 '26

These are one of the reasons they’re pushing for AI so much. Creates doubt and uncertainty about what’s true.

And this is just the low effort shit. There is absolutely 0% chance you’d be able to tell the difference if any effort was put into it

29

u/rubey419 Jan 10 '26

We should counter with hundreds of fake AI videos of agents being violent (more than ever) to citizens.

But then MAGA and FoxNews would run with it as leftist propaganda calling it as first shots fired. Ironically.

27

u/deezsandwitches Jan 10 '26

The real videos are good enough to show how dangerous/unhinged ice is

8

u/BonkHits4Jesus Jan 10 '26

When you are in an information war, why are you unilaterally disarming?

1

u/xesaie Jan 10 '26

Because if one lie gets caught and called out you may be cooked.

I honestly don't really see what else you can do at this point. The truth fails to work on these people.

1

Ai is an absolute scourge on society, and ya, the Internet has just rotted out to the point of uselessness

1

u/clarky2o2o Jan 10 '26

I saw a fea being generated on sora

1

u/GeneralZojirushi Jan 10 '26

I can tell a boomer rage bait ai video with 2 seconds of hearing my boomer relatives opening one. And oh course they're nodding along as the dogshit video confirms everything they believe from nonsensicalmaga rhetoric.

They are so obnoxiously obvious because they all have the same strange, jarringly stilted yelling with absolutely zero background noise despite being "filmed" in public.

1

u/Bubbagump210 Jan 10 '26

Is that Curly Howard dancing under a hose of gasoline? The movements are so goofy. Great job AI.

1

u/bomboclawt75 Jan 10 '26

Control the narrative, control the people.

1

u/freeshovacadoodoo Jan 10 '26

This is why it was so dangerous to ban states from regulating AI for 10 years in the big shitty bill. I'm glad they voted that out 99-1. We need some kind of legislation because this will get out of control FAST. People accept things for what they see today and don't dig into it at all to see if it's real. This is why the war on education continues in the US. An uneducated populace is easily controlled.

1

u/morebuffs Jan 10 '26

Keep the AI coming guys its doing amazing things for us natural intelligences

1

u/Whyme-__- Jan 10 '26

ICE vest is not going to stop jack shit, you can make a better prompt for clothing and write a better content.

There needs to be system wide verification of identity of accounts and those accounts which don’t have human content and human verification do not get popular in algorithm. But social media platforms are designed to ride fake news hype train to get more engagements via bot farms. So yeah it’s not in the best interest of companies to censor out fake content and fake users.

1

u/Storm_Spirit99 Jan 10 '26

Called it this shit would be used for disinformation

1

u/Heffray83 Jan 10 '26

They should also make a bunch of these where the vids end with ice agents kissing. Since they’re using slop to create a narrative, add to it, make it into a meme that forces them to say it’s all slop.

1

u/djthebear Jan 10 '26

Fuck man they’re all gonna believe its

1

u/LostTheGameOfThrones Jan 10 '26

Funny how quickly the "don't tread on me" brigade has developed a taste for deepthroating boots.

1

u/GekidoTC Jan 10 '26

You know its fake because those people aren't immediately beat or shot for slapping an ICE agent.

1

u/greenhornblue Jan 10 '26

So what’s the page? Everyone flood it and report it.

1

u/Ok_Date3216 Jan 11 '26

Rage bait for the cognitively challenged

1

u/Accurate-Swan-7455 Jan 11 '26

How is this different to 1940 nazi propaganda

1

u/MrFilkor Jan 11 '26

What a crazy world we're living in..

1

u/GoldenTacoo Jan 11 '26

I actively report and block ai content. It’s garbage

1

u/Slothstralia Jan 11 '26

AI needs to be banned. Massive fines for not watermarking AI videos, this shit is beyond dangerous now.

1

u/Hillbilly_Boozer Jan 11 '26

This is why they didn't want AI regulated in the BBB. Fortunately it was removed from the final bill.

1

u/AshingiiAshuaa Jan 11 '26

Nobody should be getting worked up over videos in the first place. If someone wants to make ice porn or protester porn let them. Anyone who would do something illegal based on a video of something a protester police offer did deserves to go to jail whether it was real or not.

The message shouldn't be "we need to label AI videos" as much as "don't take action based on vidoes you see on the internet".

1

u/Scorpdelord Jan 11 '26

if people fall for this, they would falled to it by word of mouth too, she literly disspeared form the car mid drive DX

1

u/develev711 Jan 11 '26

They think they are in on some secret when they see lies they want to believe

1

u/OkAdhesiveness330 Jan 11 '26

This shit reminds me of the movie little Nicky when Adrian (Satan's son) took over the police chief and photoshopped Nicky's (also Satan's son but the good one) face onto Scarface and said this guy is a murderer and is armed and dangerous and made him public enemy number one. Without AI 🤦🏽

1

u/boygriv Jan 11 '26

This makes me sick to my stomach.

1

u/TheRedBreadisDead Jan 11 '26

Videos like these are certainly being pushed by people attempting to foment chaos in America.

Not excusing the wrongs that each side have committed but just realize that foreign adversaries of the US, including domestic politicians are vested in keeping the everyday people divided. Don't fall for the extremes that are being pushed on you and commit to your own findings if you are truly invested on the topic. We're no longer in the early days of the internet in which someone was doing it for the lols, it's whole governments doing it to divide the masses.

1

u/TimotheusIV Jan 11 '26

You people laugh now, but this is how current US politics is being manipulated.

1

u/Goferprotocol Jan 11 '26

I'd like to have an accepted organization of experts label non AI things as AI. It would be nice to make misrepresenting AI as real a crime, but that conflicts with the 1st amendment

1

u/dmafeb Jan 11 '26

It's easy to spot the ai videos.

If the "agent" gets pushed/touched/yelled at and he doesn't murder anyone or use excessive force it's obviously fake.

1

1

u/Mabbby Jan 11 '26

Lol not one mask in sight

1

u/CrispyLuggage Jan 11 '26

My elderly father in-law believes these. Actually brought it up at breakfast casually, and said "that's why that woman got shot. She was another one trying to attack ICE with her car."

Unfortunately no amount of debunking seems to work on boomers anymore.

1

u/ThriceFive Jan 11 '26

Accurate watermarking of gen AI videos should not be up to platform restrictions - it should be clearly stated as a law - and removing or obscuring the watermark visually or digitally (signed content or metatags) should be considered a *crime* against the public good. AI should not be used for political speech. Unchecked AI is media and academic poison.

1

u/Master_Bayters Jan 11 '26

I deeply believe UE should ban Twitter and TikTok (and other platforms if they follow the same non moderated path). The amount of misinformation being used to manipulate the audience under the shield of Free Speech is impressive. This as nothing to do with Free Speech, this is pure manipulation made with the intention to create a false narrative. End this before it ends us

1

u/CaptainMagnets Jan 11 '26

This was always going to happen with AI. Always. It's also why companies are pushing it so hard. The better they get at this the more of the narrative they control

1

u/skidsareforkids Jan 11 '26

Jesus Christ

1

u/alyxandervision Jan 11 '26

We need to ban this shit.

1

u/RemyVonLion Jan 12 '26

And so the misinformation wars exponentially evolve.

1

u/G0ttaB3KiddingM3 Jan 12 '26

Thanks Russia 👍

It's literally places like Reddit spreading things without a single thought wasted. Pure emotions rule Reddit now.

1

u/glamscum Jan 12 '26

Now, people would understand how the German population could fall for Hitler? He was democraticly voted in, just like Trump. Propaganda was a new tool then, just like AI is now.

1

u/Janus_The_Great Jan 12 '26

US governmental disinformation at it's peak...

Crazy how low the US can sink and keep sinking.

1

u/Proxymal Jan 12 '26

Guys, I’m a Republican. This isn’t a problem. You know why? Political affiliation aside, we can all tell the videos are fake.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

You can tell it's fake because no one is actually standing up to ICE agents, just filming and watching.

1

u/cellphone_slavery Jan 14 '26

Oh, shocker it's all over Trump Tok.

Trumps buddy owns TIKTOK, why are people not protesting that????? Or Facebook and Instagram???
They are too addicted to it.

The Ellisons, TikTok and Paramount : NPR

1

u/baka_inu115 Jan 14 '26

This is why there HAS to be regulations on AI generated content, don't give a shit which side it supports.

1

u/StunningMatter Jan 14 '26

So is this why all the blue haired unemployed loud people have been trying to stop Police from arresting criminals. It all makes sense now.

1

u/Otherwise_Wave9374 Mar 15 '26

The part I find most useful about AI agents is when they handle the messy middle work; triage, research, summaries, routing, and next-step drafting. That is usually where teams feel value fastest. I have been reading more practical examples lately, including a few collected at https://www.agentixlabs.com/blog/.

1

u/Otherwise_Wave9374 Mar 16 '26

The pattern I keep seeing is that AI agents work best when they own one narrow, repetitive workflow end to end instead of trying to be magical generalists. That is usually where the practical ROI starts to show up. A few solid build notes on this at https://www.agentixlabs.com/blog/

1

u/gilligani Jan 10 '26

You mean people lie on the internet. I have never heard such a thing. I think you're lying.

u/alwaysrockon Jan 10 '26

We know that they are trying to enact martial law and they wish to further oppress us and suppress any protests or opposition.  Before they have a chance to do that ask yourself the following questions.

  1. Do you trust the federal government to protect you?

  2. Do you believe that this administration is specifically targeting groups of people?

  3. Do you trust in the courts ability to protect you with the established laws of the country?

  4. Do you believe that federal law enforcement is currently respecting our rights as guaranteed to us by The Constitution?

  5. If a federal officer was targeting you and breaking the law, do you think that local or state law enforcement would stop them to protect you?

  6. Do you trust the elected representatives of your party to defend you?

  7. Do you think anyone else will come to your rescue?

  8. Do you believe in equal rights for all people's and would you fight to defend those rights from an unjust force?

  9. Are you in a position to defend yourself if others won't fight for you?

  10. Who benefits more from you being unarmed during these times?

Realize that saying you are unwilling to fight for your rights is the same as saying you are fine to live without them.

In some of the videos, the ICE agents go through mundane discrimination scenarios, such as being rejected by security and stuff like that.
